Apartment was kind of clean, but cobwebs. A good restaurant recommendation in Le Palme. Minus: weird check in / out process - had to meet him instead of a cypher lock. A very poor bed (hard) and no mattress topper, even after asking. We made do by grabbing twin bed mattresses (cigarette holes, tears) and putting on top, but still below average. Francesco only uses WhatsApp - we called when we came to check in but he did not pick up. Collected room taxes ahead of time, which seemed odd, but after we were there 1 night it may have been in the event we left after that. Needed shampoo and paper towels. No couch. Atrani is quieter than Amalfi, yet still close. There were stairs, but not too many and Francesco helped us with our luggage. Francesco was friendly and responsive. The view from the balcony was beautiful (I think even better than a water view, it was a lovely view of the town and mountain). The apartment was clean. The wifi worked adequately. Francesco was very responsive and friendly and we’d frequently run into him on the streets of Atrani. We could not fault our stay in Atrani - we are really happy we stayed there - quiet but close to all amenities. Francesco was very helpful with any queries we had re the property and getting around the Amalfi coast. The apartment was well located and sufficient for our needs - it was great to have a washing machine! It was clean and not far to get to the Piazza - ie not too many stairs. He is very friendly and helpful. The place was clean and had all cooking appliances and utensils available. The two air conditioners were great at keeping the place cool. We liked Atrani better than Amalfi. Only thing is that we found the clothes washer difficult to use, looked like the handle had previously been damaged. Francesco was helpful with this. We loved our stay. Francesco was very prompt with communication. He helped us with our suitcases (there are many steps to go up to the apartment) and answered any questions we had. Cellular connection is not very good in and near the apartment (so is the wifi), but it was not a big problem for us, because we spent most of our time outside. Atrani is so beautiful and relaxing! You can swim right outside of the apartment, dine in one of the restaurants downstairs at the piazza or walk 10 min to Amalfi. If you come by train to Salerno, i would recommend taking a ferry to Amalfi instead of a bus. The bus was crowded and the drive was long and unpleasant. We were very pleased with our stay here in Atrani. After spending our days exploring the area it was fantastic to return to our quiet, spacious suite. Francesco was very attentive and easy to communicate with. He helped provide an extra cushion for us but the suite does not come with beach towels despite being so close to the beautiful beach. Comfort of the suite could easily be rated higher by us by improving the quality of the towels, blankets and including the futon mattress so we had something comfortable to sit on. As well, its time for a new mattress on the bed! These small improvements would make this a 5 star stay! ##### Roman R. Atrani is quiet and local and romantic. The location is PERFECT if you’re visiting Amalfi… we actually liked Atrani more than Amalfi! Fransisco is sooo helpful and kind. He helped us carry our bags and even printed our ferry tickets for Capri that I had forgotten to print and arranged for our car to be parked. He is wonderful! The place was so clean and local feeling- we truly loved it. Air conditioning was in every room. We hope to come back and stay there again as soon as we can. This place brought us so much joy and you MUST eat at le palme right downstairs in Atrani- it was the best meal we had in Italy and we loved the owner. The apartment is much much bigger than it seems in the pictures and the town its self is just lovely. Le palme which Francesco made reservations for us was amazing as well. All in all amazing home and town. Only problem was with the wifi. I didnt have cell service in this area so i was relying on the wifi while being at home. It only worked in the living room and wasnt too strong. But if this isnt a concern please book this place it is lovely and francesco is very quick to reapond to any concerns. ##### Almeda s.
