The room was clean, air conditioner works perfectly and the bathroom very decent looking. Although no parking lot directly linked it we were able to find space very close by because it was off season.

Great location. I like the digital check-in and the digital door to get in. The rooms are very clean. The digital check in makes it very clear of what the expectations are of the facility.

Excellant room, didn’t need staff, excellant outdoor seating. The only thing the bed contantly squeezed when you moved around. Booking another trip in October and staying at the surf club

Clean and modern room, access to pools at sister properties. No onsite parking was kind of a pain, but there is a lot around the corner for $25/ day. Would recommend for a quick stay! If staying for additional time, pack extra linens.

Upon entering the room, there was a musty smell. There was also a loud clanking noise coming from the vent in the bathroom. The northeaster was coming through and it may have had something to do with high winds. The room was clean and neat and the bed was quite comfortable. Since it was off-season, parking was no problem for us. But again, since there was a northeaster, we parked in the parking lot right behind us. It was free because of the storm. It was supposedly higher ground. The surf club is only a block from the boardwalk and very convenient to everything.

The location was great. Place was clean and had a nice area outside to hang out. The bed was very rickety and the hot/cold water faucet in the shower was backwards. Not having a place to park was a downside of this property. Also, the dirty linens from previous nights were left out all night on the balcony area outside.

It was fine for one night. But the room was SMALL and we found they had more of the same rooms available for close to $100 less than we paid. It was clean enough. No staff to speak of except for a remote dude talking to you from who knows where. It’s kinda feels like someone bought an old hotel and flipped it to make it look more modern?

The good, nice location, building and rooms looks new, nice design. The bad, no parking, didn't like digital check in (had to contact them to send), and room was very tight... bed was literally right next to bathroom, almost touching when door open. Unlikely to stay again just because in OC, NJ, parking is so very important and I like to see real people working in case of questions.

The motel was very clean and easy to check in. There were only a few rooms that were occupied, but they put next door to an occupied room. The neighbors were loud and kept me up all night.

Stayed at the Surf club for a second time and everything was great once again. All amenities we needed were there. Any questions we had were answered quickly with just a text. We needed a little extra time to check out and were granted that without a problem. The room was clean. Perfect location. Right in the middle of everything Ocean city has to offer . We will stay again.

I was sent a text when my room was ready with room number and door code. When I arrived I unlocked my door and someone was in it. They gave me another guests door code. I asked them to change his door code and advised it was kind of alarming that could happen. The property was well maintained, room was clean but the sheets had two tiny blood stains on bottom which I’m almost positive staff didn’t see, but still gross. Both sister properties have pools and they’re clean and easy to use and very close. Super close walk to boardwalk but the parking is horrible and we went in off season. We paid upwards a little over $50 for two nights of parking.

There is no parking designated for the place. The room was very clean. The cleaners were friendly. I deleted my email by accident and had to call the phone number to get the code for my room. The representative was very professional and after verification the representative provided the code

Room was nice, clean, and had comfortable beds. No dresser so really can't unpack which is inconvenient if you like order. Rooftop deck is nice but furniture could be nicer but still comfortable to relax. Drawback with not having a coded gate at the entrance is that people can stop and eat at the tables who don't stay there, which did happen. Only major issue was that there few ants in the room and we did report that to management. Would stay again maybe due to great location. But with most prices being comparable maybe not. The Portocall is always my go to and will most likely remain that. This was good for a last-minute trip and will remain in my list.

This was our first experience with booking a shore place through Expedia so some aspects were new to us. First, we did not appreciate that almost all management of our stay would be handled remotely via text message and the expedia website, including acquiring the access codes to our room. Once we figured that out (with a little help from the front office staff at the Atlantic next store), we were able to get the necessary access information. The room itself was basic but clean and well maintained, including the bathroom. All OC amenities are within easy walking distance, and reasonable overnight parking was less than a block away. Our only qualm with the situation is that there appears to be no central office or human staff available who could field questions or problems if they arose. For older patrons like ourselves with some health issues that becomes a consideration around whether we do a repeat booking. But overall our overnight was smooth and enjoyable. Thanks.
