That was wonderful! We also enjoyed the large dining table which allowed us all to sit together for meals and games. We loved the spacious layout and multiple master bedrooms. It made for an ideal stay with our family and children. Likewise we enjoyed the fishing despite not catching many large fish along the dock. We also got see some nature including fish, smaller gators, raccoons and even a manatee that swam to the top of the water at the dock. The negatives were the outdated decor and the fact we saw more than just a few bugs (roaches) in the kitchen. We were careful to keep food put away but still saw more than anticipated while cleaning and moving things on the counters. The owner was responsive when we messaged about a roof leak during a storm and sent a roofer out to repair it. In addition, there were few minor plumbing issues with toilets needing to be plunged or having to take the lid off to flush. The space is what truly made the stay comfortable and relaxing, but for the price we were expecting a few more updates and less presence of bugs. The house is very spacious and has great views up and down the St Johns River. Wonderful dock to sit and enjoy a cocktail too. Thanks to Mark and his team for putting together a great place for friends and family to enjoy time together, but big enough to have private space and time as needed. LOL. We are already anticipating the fun our group will have next spring at RiverBend! ##### Scott M. This home is as advertised and communication with Mark (the host) was great. The home has a beautiful view just steps away from the dock on the river. The kitchen is well appointed with everything we needed as well. This was not our first time here, and we have already booked again for next year. Each year, it seems that he is adding more features to make the home even better. We love the full size griddle on the porch too.
