During the rest of the year, you are able to pull up to the cabin in a vehicle and park directly outside. To access the stunning Maroon Bells, rent an e-bike from T-Lazy 7 across the street, or drive 5 minutes up the road (permit required)! The location: Located at T-Lazy-7 Ranch, 6 miles (a 5-minute drive) from Maroon Lake and 10 minutes from Aspen. This ranch directly borders the Maroon Bells Wilderness and is the last homestead before you enter the park. It was beautiful, remote and close to downtown Aspen and the Maroon Bells. We went during peak flow on the creek behind the house and having the windows open to the river all night was nice. The views from the cabin were so beautiful and the cabin had everything we needed. It's close to all the mountains and to downtown Aspen. We would happily book it again. One suggestion, leave some notes about how to work the TV. It seemed to require apps being downloaded in advance for it to work, but there were no instructions in the cabin. Such a wonderful spot. You are close enough to town to ebike back and forth, but also far enough outside of town to feel immersed in nature. Loved sitting in the chairs right by the river and enjoying this peaceful area all while being very close to town and also the trails around the maroon bells. GPS takes you to the lodge not your cabin. If you plan on riding bikes up to Maroon Bells be prepared to lock them up and hike up to the lake. We saw lots of wildlife right out the window!
