The breakfast which was beautifully served on the balcony was beyond compare. Local, fresh, and delicious Cretan treats. Archanes is close to Heraklion and the palace of Knossos and had plenty of dining options. We were in Greece for three weeks and our night at Carpe Diem was probably our best stay. (i) I waited for hours in front of the main entrance for someone to let me in. Moreover, the telephone number provided by Expedia to contact the host is incorrect. Only when I went nextdoor did I find a working contact number for the host pasted on...
