The host was great and responsive. The cabin was super clean and met our needs exactly. It was also the perfect location in that it wasn’t too far from the Biltmore or downtown.
It was a wonderful place to stay! Plenty of space, beautiful views, wifi worked great, beds were comfortable, and it was quiet all around us so we slept great all three nights!
We had a great stay! Cabin was comfortable and well appointed. The views off the deck were amazing. Enjoyed coffee out there every morning and wine every evening. Easy access to town and the highway.
A Great Vacation Spot! The cabin was very accommodating and fit our needs perfectly. Having a fireplace to warm us up in the evenings was a beautiful touch for my grandchildren. The location was perfect for going downtown, visiting the Arboretum, and heading to the various overlooks. While traveling about, we even saw some bears!
This was a lovely, clean and well furnished home in the woods very close to downtown Asheville. The decor was well done and welcoming. The deck offers beautiful views. Some people mentioned a steep driveway. We had 2 full size large SUVs and had no difficulty with getting to the home or with parking. Please don't let this prevent you from staying in this lovely spot. We are three couples who enjoy a fall weekend in the Carolinas each year and this was the perfect spot. Thanks Josh!
Just a few miles from downtown Asheville, this 3 bedroom cabin was perfect for our adult family stay. The kitchen had a good selection of tools, the beds were all comfy, and the foggy view over the valley was beautiful.
Enjoyed the fact that we were so close to downtown Asheville but also in the mountains so it didn’t seem like we were in town. One of the better houses we have stayed in that has good amenities and beautiful views.
Beautiful view from deck and great room. Bedrooms nice. Pretty steep driveway but managed in a minivan no problem. Only issues were that pots and pans are stored in drawer under the oven and the drawer was very dirty with bits of old food and grease. Guests shouldn't have to wash dishes before using them. Cupboards had plenty of room. Why not store pots/pans there? Also, the gas grill was very dirty, and we had to scrub clean before using. In addition, it was a very small/cheap grill for house this size. Overall stay was positive!
The house was wonderful. It was immaculate. The kitchen was fantastic. It was located near things we wanted to do. It was delightful sitting on the porch. The only problem was the road to get in and the parking. We are in our 80s and found turning the car around on the steep gravel road with the cliff on one side very difficult. Fortunately, our granddaughter came to stay with us. We used her car. Unfortunately, she had to leave a day early so we left when she did.
Very comfortable house 10 minutes from downtown Asheville but high above
We really enjoyed our 4 night stay in this conveniently located, very clean house with a well stocked kitchen, nice Mountain Views, enjoyable outdoor spaces, comfortable beds and amazing quiet. I also really appreciated the teapot!
Best part is the view! So nice to sit on porch & relax! Had a good stay with everything we needed. Great location. Comfortable beds & bedding. Backing out of house a bit cumbersome like others have mentioned but made it work. Grant, the host, responds quickly & accompanied any needs we had. Would definitely stay here again!
We enjoyed our stay. The location close to the city, but tucked away in the mountains, allowed us to enjoy some time in nature with the attractions of Asheville a short drive away. The home was comfortable and well equipped for four adults. It seems like bear sightings are quite common and we ran across a bear on two separate occasions on the road a short distance from the house. If we ever come to the Asheville area again, we would be happy to stay here.
We had a great time! The cabin was very clean, had everything we needed, and absolutely beautiful views of the mountains. As others have said, getting to the cabin and the parking is a little tricky, the parking spots are tight and steep. But I think that’s to be expected with a cabin in the mountains. It’s close to town but feels like you’re far away, it’s a very peaceful location.
We are four girlfriends on our 15th annual trip.
The drive and scenery up to this mountain home amazing. Grant, the owner, was so responsive to any questions and concerns to make sure our stay in his home most enjoyable. The home is very clean, supplied with all you should need to enjoy a relaxing and restful stay. We were blessedto have found this place. Thank you!
We live on the Outer Banks of NC and enjoy visiting Asheville several times a year and we always rent a home in the area for a week for our family. We've stayed in wonderful places but this haven in the mountains checks all the boxes! Nestled among the trees and the view is spectacular, close proximity to Asheville ($7 Uber ride), comfy beds, well equipped home, porches and wildlife! 2 bear sightings in the yard, a raccoon and beautiful birds! We will definitely come back!
