The local bus only comes three times a day and the time table may not match up with the trains. However, this hotel was definitely worth the trouble for the amenities alone. The lobby is fully stocked with books and refreshments, and the onsen is very relaxing. If the weather is good, you can see the stars from the outdoor bath. The breakfast buffet had a good variety of healthy options. At first its remote location is a problem; but, once you get to the hotel it is a benefit. The staff is wonderful and the hot springs are great and very clean and relaxing to soak in. After we left to go to Sapporo, I discovered that I had left an old red jacket that is dear to me at the Starlight Hotel.
