10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (15 reviews)
"I really enjoyed my stay here. You can tell they put a lot of thought into designing a beautiful and comfortable hotel. The ocean view from the room and balcony was great for sunsets. The staff were friendly and helpful, I got a booklet in English with all important information which was very useful. The beach is very nice but it was a bit dirty when I visited, which is not the fault of the hotel. I had a very relaxing stay and would love to come back."

Traditional 200y-oHouse Outside Kyoto

Traditional 200y-oHouse Outside Kyoto

10/10 Excellent
"I am going to miss Hideo and Yukako and their three perfect dogs Hatchi, Tome, and Meme! They were so welcoming and ready to offer recommendations for any of the things I was looking for. The property was perfectly clean and I would have been happy staying there for a month rather than just the week.I added the tour to the fish market and it was *amazing*. Truly fantastic sashimi thanks to Hideo's recommended fish selections and Yukako's skilled butchering of the fish. I enjoyed spending the days walking around and exploring the woods and the shrines throughout them (with caution - there are bears in the area). Also the bathtub is the best bathtub I have ever used. I loved that thing. It was sad to leave Keihoku, the Kyoto mountains, and such wonderful hosts. I hope that I can return someday."
