Very handy for the station (& La Debauche brewery)
Clean and comfortable old-school place with real keys for the door, &c. Restaurant was closed while I was staying there.

Looked a right pit ,rough area could not see the so called parking We did not feel safe there so sis mot check im which was a waste of money but better than worrying about your car left on the street all night

Good hotel, exactly what we needed. Room just big enough, very clean shower good. Continental Breakfast and cereals was ample as we ate out for lunch and dinner. Ten minute walk ( uphill ) to the centre of Angouleme. Great hotel if you are exploring the local area, no frills but close to everything else you need.

Property is very convenient to the train station. Elevator was not working, having to carry luggage up 3 flights of stairs. At night, light sensor not working, safety issue on stairs. We caught a 6:30 am train, it was dark and stairs not lit and having to carry luggage. No air conditioning, be mindful when traveling.

Avoid for long term stay
This hotel is fine for location if you want to be close to the station but the room is basic to say the least. If it hasn't been for the fab they supplied we would not have had a minutes sleep in the sweltering heat. The room is extremely small and claustrophobic but bedding and towels clean Arrived just after 12 . The door was not locked but the manager would not let us check in until 2. We had to camp out at the conveniently placed restaurant attached to the hotel. It was very hot so we sank down at of the tables for a drink and was told by the manager that 'This is not a bar' and if we wanted a drink we had to order (very expensive) food. There was nowhere else available so stayed put and ordered lunch. His attitude miraculously changed! Even the French couple at the next table apologised for the welcome to angouleme! We had to cut out stay short unexpectedly but it was with relief!

I was there for the local Comic book convention. I was ally able to stay one night because it (an all other hotels in the area} were booked. They served a great brekfast and its was conveniently next to the train station.

Ideal for business travelers
Good location for train station - much refurbishment underway and staff really helpful. For a simple over night it's hard to beat.

Hotel is just opposite train station, so was easy to get in the evening when we arrived. Threre is nice restaurant next door, speciality is fish. Food is good but rather expansive, 90 Euro for 2 just one course and shared deserts. Hotel itself is a bit old and in need of remodelling, but rooms were clean and comfortable. Will stay if need to be close to the train station as getting taxi in the evening to other hotel is not easy at all.

Across the street from train station...
This hotel was conveniently across the street from the train station but the rooms were very run down and shabby. My room was as clean as it could get because of the wear and tear of everything from furnishings to a very simple bathroom. Didn't feel comfortable taking a shower. No amenities to speak of. We were lucky to have a t.v. Angouleme is a very hilly city and this hotel was at the very botttom of the hill. It's best to take the buses if you can rather than trying to walk. The city is renovating the whole street in front of the train station with a completion date of 2017, so there is a lot of noise and dust in the area during the week. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The reception lady was very nice and tried to be helpful with her minimal English.

Malgré la demande pour un lit double se retrouver dans une chambre avec lit simple Impossible de dormir quand on fait 120kg et 1m90 car des que vous vous retournez vous tombé du lit

Hôtel très moyen, à ne rien y comprendre sur les critères du nombre d’étoiles distribué … Suite à un changement d’emploi du temps de dernière minute, je dois quitter ANGOULEME après avoir passé une seule nuit au lieu des 2 prévues initialement. La chambre de la seconde nuitée n’est pas remboursée, je le comprend. En revanche les petits déjeuners pour 2 personnes, que l’on m’a demandé de payer à l’arrivée, directement à l’hôtel, ne le sont pas non plus … et là, j’avoue que ça me laisse dubitative … un manque sérieux de sensibilité commerciale …

Hôtel correct dans l'ensemble
Accueil sympathique. Ascenseur en panne mais le gérant nous a aidé à monter les valises. Hôtel correct dans l'ensemble. Très bonne literie. Pas de climatisation mais un ventilateur de plafond qui gagnerait à être plus large pour plus d'efficacité et moins de bruit. Chambre spacieuse.

Hôtel à éviter.
Nous avons eu un souci de réservation, j'ai payé mon séjour des mon arrivé, et il s'avère que la réservation était faite en double, le gérant m'a facturé 2 chambre pour 2 nuits et n'a pas voulus faire de geste commerciale... donc j'ai payé 350e pour 2 nuit ! c'est lamentable. En plus de ça, l'accueil est froid et on a l'impression de déranger... Il y a beaucoup d'hôtel sur Angoulême, allez ailleurs !

Séjour pour affaire ayant un rapport qualité prix très acceptable. Petit déjeuner continentale très bien. Personnel professionnel et disponible. Face à la gare de bus et SNCF, facile d'accès avec un parking et à 10 minutes du centre historique

L'hôtel est à proximité des transports communs et centre ville ce qui est très pratique. Il y a aussi un parking pour se garer. L'état de la chambre est propre, en revanche quand je suis arrivée, il n'y avait pas de papier toilettes ni de savon rempli ce qui m'a un peu gêné étant donné que cela fait parti de la prestation. Cela a été rectifié par la suite quand même.

Arrivée à 21h pour un accueil possible jusqu’à 22.30, je me suis faite “insulter”par le tenancier de cet établissement, ce dernier ne souhaitant pas me délivrer les clefs de la chambre. En effet après plusieurs échanges incompréhensibles et incongrus fait sur un ton très déplaisant et angoissant il m’a donné la clef et à prononcé ces mots: “Dégagez pauvre femme, allez au diable, vous n’êtes qu une bohémienne”. Cette attitude est déplorable, indigne, intolérable et ne me sentant pas en sécurité dans l établissement j ai préféré malgré l heure tardive prendre une chambre dans un autre hôtel d Angoulême.
