We stayed here as a quick overnight stay while traveling on the Alaska Railroad. It is just a short walk from the train depot. It’s an older property but room was clean and comfortable for one night.

The room was pretty clean. We got their and the toilet was clogged. We told the front desk and they gave us a plunger to go unclog it which was pretty gross. Train goes by at odd hours in the night. Good stay for what we needed, which was a single night and to catch an early morning plane. I would not have wanted to stay longer than that.

For the price I was expecting something better, even if I have seen the reviews before. Booked it, because we were taking the train, which is very closed by. The hotel needs a big renovation and is way overpriced. The breakfast is just average. The bathroom had no curtain, so the floor got always very wet. No pictures on the wall, so it looks like very empty. The shuttle bus took a while to pick us up from the airport, but it was o.k. The people at the reception were very helpful.

Our expectations were lowered because of the reviews. We booked it originally because of convenience and the Wyndham name. This hotel although it served our purpose for a few hours is very much in need of a complete renovation. The shuttle which we were hoping would work did not work because of its infrequent availability. So we used UBER twice. The beds were comfortable and the shower was fine. The railroad as mentioned by many others is loud as the tracks are across the street.

Grossly overpriced for what it was. Needs some serious updating. $400 a night and you dont even have shower gel, just a crummy little bar of soap and tiny little bottle of shampoo. Breakfast was very basic. Mattress was not comfortable. It is a shame as it was a decent location. Shuttle driver was very friendly as was the breakfast staff. Would not be my first choice.

The location was great, convenient to the train station and walkable to downtown Anchorage and restaurants. I appreciated the free breakfast. They had really tasty bagels and cream cheese and good coffee which I like for breakfast. They have other items as well. The only complaint I have is that our room was musty smelling. The heater was also loud but we only used it to heat the room and then turned it off. Staff was gracious and they have a free shuttle to and from the airport which we appreciated.

Too loud!! Couldn’t sleep all night- right next to the train station which could be convenient for some but it was super loud! The breakfast was okay- the staff is nice though. The shuttle is available but was pretty much booked up for the entire day- so make sure you reserve it as soon as you know your plans. Overall- not worth the amount we paid for one night. Wouldn’t do it again.

Avoid this hotel at all costs! Horrible location, there was homeless people everywhere. Didn’t feel safe to walk anywhere. Rooms had no table, just two mismatched chairs stuck into each corner. Avoid avoid!!!

The room was big, the bed was comfy, we had a problem with the heat, but they fixed it immediately. It's right next to the train station, so be prepared for train whistles all night long. But we enjoyed our stay here, and they had a shuttle that took us to the train station in the morning. So it was exactly what we needed.

Our room smelled so strongly of urine. The front desk staff was very helpful and when I spoke to one of them, she said that a couple with two small dogs had stayed in the room right before us. The dogs had obviously urinated all over the room and it smelled terrible. I don’t know if this is a housekeeping issue or just bad luck, but the room was pretty bad.
