If you are looking for a hotel near the airport, this is a great option. After my flight was cancelled, I made a quick call to the hotel and they soon had a great room ready for me. After a stressful day, the hotel reception staff couldn’t have been any friendlier. They quickly had me checked in and settled into my room. Thanks for the amazing service!

Hoofddorp train station is a few minutes walk away which is very handy for travel into Amsterdam. It's a long walk into Hoofddorp itself, which has plenty of nice shops and places to eat. The only little thing is no smart TV in the room which I thought was a little odd, and if like us you're not out too late, and don't drink you won't have much to watch!

Hotel is very near the train station to catch the sprinter train into Amsterdam which takes 17 minutes and has 4 stops. The room in the hotel was very spacious and clean. I wasn't overly impressed with the buffet breakfast for Euro20 pp but maybe we arrived late in the morning. There is a great little snack area at the reception area where you do self scan to checkout. I'd certainly recommend the hotel :-)

The Manager was very accommodating and addressed concerns to find a suitable suite. Provided excellent Customer. Serv. The lady who checked us in - also polite & gave good instructions of where dinner and breakfast would be served and amenities. At times experienced a long queue to check in at times / or ask a query. It would have been helpful to have a water dispenser in the lobby areas as we needed to purchase bottle of waters quite frequently. But received complimentary bottles of water as well which was a very kind gesture. There was a wide variety of breakfast options but would have been nice to have a vegetarian fry up as I had to be limited to eating only vegetables as I don’t eat pork so couldn’t eat the sausages and bacon. Would have been helpful to be kept informed of closing times at weekend as didn’t realise till rushing breakfast that bar closes at 11am on weekends. The restaurant for dinner had some nice menu options and we were really welcomed and looked after by the manager and his support staff who had excellent customer service - 10/10. More recreational games /toys could be made available for kids and bikes for junior as my nephew was keen to hire a bike but the hotel only had adult large bikes. On some days I was a little disappointed with the level of housekeeping, as all Novotel are usually spotless, so could be improved, as fridge in the Executive Room had some dust, carpet was not regularly hoovered, etc, but overall I enjoyed my stay.
