We were very disappointed by the Aston City Hotel. The room was barely big enough to move around in. Only 2 small beds. Bathroom was tiny as well. Moldy smell. No AC. Right in the middle of Amsterdam, on one of the noisiest streets. Wi-Fi was terrible as well. We requested a different room, but they did not give us one. They also did not give us a refund, so we had to leave. Make sure you know what you're getting into if you stay here!
The room is clean and tidy with a large window facing river and park, very safe building, reception staffs are very helpful and friendly.
Eating shopping around this property is fantastic, will definitely go back again.

Basic hotel but not as bad as I thought it would be after reading other reviews. This is a very basic hotel but a good price and a nice location. We didn’t stay in the room much, just for sleeping and having a shower. The bathroom had a horrible smell sometimes and you have to keep the bathroom door closed after having a shower or the steam will set of the fire alarm. There was no window or ventilation in the bathrooms either and a few light fixtures were lose. The carpet was outdated and there was only 1 clothes hanger on the rail. The bed was comfy the staff friendly and a good price. A little noisy at times with people in and out but it’s a old building and didn’t bother us too much.
It felt like someone forgot to take all the mess from the entrance of the building. Vacuum cleaners, towels, etc, was like the cargo entrance.
Not even one chair in the room, so I need to put everything in the floor. The hangers for the clothes are all different and some from primark, so I felt like nobody care.
The curtains in the window was ha Gui good and the bed so close to the window that the 50% of the room left, was only an empty area.
