Medieval charm comes alive in Amersfoort's historic centre with its ancient city walls and distinctive Koppelpoort gate. Climb the Onze Lieve Vrouwetoren (tower) for panoramic views or take a boat tour along the canals that wind through this 13th-century trading hub.
I missed the note highlighting reception shuts at 6pm, but I telephoned the contact number and my key was waiting in a lock box. Great location, central and easy 10 min walk from train. Interesting building with quirks and features - I'd stay again

Wonderful boutique hotel in the heart of Utrecht. Very quirky (stairs are awesome!) and the room was well appointed with a very comfortable bed. Staff very friendly and helpful!

I stayed in the Eye Hotel in late October / early November 2017, while visiting Utrecht for a concert at the Tivoli Vredenburg.
The hotel is conveniently situated about 10 to 15 minutes walk from Utrecht Centraal railway station (and about 10 minutes from the Tivoli Vredenburg venue). This part of the city has a wide choice of bars, restaurants and shops, and yet is not overly busy - so not excessively noisy. Wijde Begijnestraat itself is quite quiet except for morning and evening rush hour...

The staff were all outstanding - so friendly, cheery and helpful. Accommodation and facilities were stripped back but very stylish and comfortable. We had a fabulous view of the Dom tower from our "Full Moon" bedroom. Breakfast very generous, tasty and well-served. Fantastic central location but surprisingly quiet. We really enjoyed oyr stay.

The hotel is beautiful, it is in a great position and has an excellent restaurant. Rooms are very big, very comfortable and flawlessly clean. Staff is very professional and helpful. only problem was that the position on the street made the room a bit noisy, with windows open.

Excellent experience. Clean and comfortable with a luxurious feel. No staff but assistance was easily available on WhatsApp. Also such a charming location with a lovely restaurant downstairs.

We stayed here during the June '26 heatwave. While there was no air-conditioning in the room, we were comfortable. The restaurant was cool and food (dinner and breakfast) over the two days was wonderful. No tea/coffee facilities in the room, but access to dispensers in the lobby.
