This was place was such a gem.super comfortable and my young kids had so much fun. The restaurant attached has really good food and im not ge really a fan of buffets or Mexican food but wow.hobestly, really good. Only thing very important to know is the rooms do not have any A/C or fans. The weather was very cool in the evenings so eventually we were confortable enough to sleep but with the small window that opened and no fan to at least help circulate thats was tough for a fmaily that tends to run hot and kids that tend to overheat. Again, with our timing, it was all ok. But it would have been good to lnow and if it was during a hotter time we may not have fared so well. All in all though totally worth it and will definitely be back.
From an American…,if you don’t speak Spanish this is not for you. Staff laughed at my son who wanted to do the zipline because he couldn’t understand them and for adults to make fun of a child is the reason they got a low rating. Property is huge and great for kids. Lemurs, tiger, petting zoo, ziplining, bike riding, archery, etc it will keep you busy! Lastly, if you’re a person of color you’ll experience some racism from locals and staff in Amecameca. Stay in tourists areas if you don’t want to see how locals live. It’s about an hour away from major airport anyway and the driving in Mexico is lawless.the women at front desk were helpful and spoke English and overall a good stay for the kids and they do keep the property and pools clean!
The location is amazing, each room has a view of the volcano. However, this means the one window receives direct sunlight most of the day, and with just one small part of the window actually able to be opened, it gets very hot in the room. We also could not leave this window open at night due to the bonfire lit right outside. And there is no fan. So we had a miserable night’s sleep.
Again, the location made it worth it, but I’m glad we only stayed one night.

Very clean and quiet. But, a few important things happened during our stay:
1. The door didn't lock. Front desk told me twice that they had fixed it so i climbed the stairs twice, both times the door opened with just a push again. Down the stairs to insist. It took maintenance 3 tries over a few hours to finally just change the lock entirely. (That included me having to climb the stairs with our luggage at least 3 times; one of the front desk men helped me two of those times thankfully).
2. The sides of the kiddie and adult pools are covered in algae.
3. The water in both pools was cold. My daughter kept shivering. I couldn't even last long in the water myself. I expected warm water due to their advertising "climatizado" but it was definitely not the case. Only the air in the covered pool was warm. No swimming for us. 😕
4. The TV didn't work until someone came to fix it. They said the box had disconnected itself.
