"Lovely clean family room, all brand new furnishings so really comfortable. Quiet calm place to stay, self check in so barely see anyone but that’s just fine. Lovely view of sea from room and if not then only ten paces and at sea wall so you can hear it and feel near it. "Everything was exceptional. The hospitality from Graham and Sheena was second to none. We got lost our first night out and after a quick call, Graham got us back on track and was actually on his way out to find us when we turned up the drive! That is the level of hospitality provided. "Nice staff, a lot of information provided. Off street parking is just next to the hotel. Lidl’s within short walking distance. Rooms and the building itself are little tired. Bathroom was a tiny one, but everything worked fine (except the extractor fan). Decorating was little outdated. But if you are looking for affordable stay overnight or few nights stay, then I would recommend it."

"This is our second stay at the Firth Hotel and really enjoyed it again. The rates are very competitive and cheerful as well as not breaking the bank are massive pluses. The rooms are clean, lovely sea view, very quiet, staff make check in easy. It's peaceful and a lovely staycation destination. Rooms despite being budget have a fan and a fridge as well as hairdryer, iron and decent pillows. The Smugglers bar is not far away with comfy seats and friendly locals and reasonable drink and food prices. For the price we paid, thought it was good value, good accommodation, good location, good staff and good experience. Will be back and thanks for having us."

"The check-in process would have went smoother if I had checked my email 😅. As I booked through Expedia, I was expecting to have the instructions on my expedia inbox. So, I had to phone the host for the instructions, which she happily provided in a text. Interesting way of checking in, with a code and a lock box. Although it's nice to be greeted, this way saved a lot of time in waiting. The hotel was clean, the smell when entering the room was clean, fresh. Nice toiletries, plenty tea, coffee etc. Kettle and a small iron and ironing board in the room. Comfy bed, at least I slept well. The only downside, for which I've taken a star is that the room next door was very noisy on the day of the arrival, some ladies/ girls, laughing out loud and could hear them as they were in my room. Every time they used the toilet, I could hear the door, water flushing etc...very loudly. After a full day of travelling, I would have appreciated some peace and quiet. I haven't made the host aware about this, there is a note at the entrance to keep it down and respect the other guests, but I suppose, not everyone is considerate and educated. The hotel is in a quiet area, couldn't hear the outside noise, just from the next door. I stayed in rm 4. At the time they were not serving meals, but there are plenty places where you can eat around, one of them is 5 minutes walk and they have a shop there as well. (On the expensive side). But there are supermarkets and everything if you need anything."
