Hotel Villa Marstall
9.4 out of 10, Exceptional, (178)
"I come to the Heidelberg area often for business, and when I do, I stay at Villa Marstall if at all possible. It is a carefully restored private villa right in the heart of everything, yet on a very quiet street facing the incredibly beautiful Neckar river panorama. The staff is friendly--it feels almost like a really nice B&B--and the breakfasts are delicious. I don't know quite why, but this is one of my favorite stays in all my frequent travels."

Hotel Zur Alten Brücke
3.0 star property
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (271)
"Historical hotel in a great location in the Altstadt. Staff very friendly and helpful, and the restaurant has great regional offerings. Please note, some of the rooms only have a window to an indoor hallway and not the outdoors. I apparently unknowingly signed up for such a room. When I raised it with hotel staff, they quickly gave me a different room with windows to the outdoors. However, I was lucky they had such a room available as the hotel is very popular."

Hotel Heidelberger Hof
4.0 star property
8.4 out of 10, Very good, (441)
"Hotel was a quick walk from the S-bahn stop, but wish my navigation would have shown me the sidewalk route vs. the cobblestone route when I had my luggage. Unfortunately never got to take advantage of the sauna, which is a big reason for booking here; it closed at 9 and you have to give them 30 mins. notice to heat it up. Wished it were 24 hrs or open a bit later as this was hard to time around dinners, unless you go before and then shower again, but I wanted to stay out touring. Nobody mans the...
