"This is a fantastic homestay location, and called "resort hotel in Thumboly" by some of the local auto drivers. I booked this on an impulse travel through hotels dot com website and fully enjoyed my stay.
The owner (Mr. George) and the manager Mr. Shibu were prompt with communication and helpful. Mr. Shibu spoke to the auto driver via my phone call and guided him correctly. Google maps does a solid job too.
Location is about 4ish km from Alappuzha railway station and about 2km from main...

"The room had two big windows and a cute butterfly shaped bed. Big bathroom. Welcomed a board with a drink and friendly staff. The lounge and dining room was spacious and well decorated with comfortable furniture. Outside deck with comfy seating. The food was good and tea was served. "We had a really poor experience…
1) The bathrooms and washing areas were smelling bad / extremely unclean… the taps were all fully dark and rusty
2) very salty water provided for all washing / bathing.
3) extremely un-friendly staff who were showing absolutely no interest in the welfare of the guests.
4) It was extremely hot during day time, so we asked them to switch on the AC and they said AC will be available only from 9pm.
