Close to Castle, the Igreja Do Sao Jorge, great coffee shops, Fado in nearby restaurants….. and so much more!!!! Friendly neighbourhood!!! Loved this ancient area known as the Alfama district. So many beautiful walks and many things to discover down the twisting cobble streets"

The room was very large and drenched in light - worth the five flights of stairs. If you have mobility issues, contact hotel directly to book, as there are steps everywhere. , one day we left hand washed laundry hanging in the room. We returned to find it dry and ironed!! if you are looking for a glamorous, chic hotel, this is not the place for you. For us, star experience at a sweet simple hotel. "
