Couldn't get in! We arrived to locked doors and no instructions as to how to get in. We saw people in a window and reached it with a stick so we could knock to get their attention. They came down and opened the door. They were other guests. We asked them how to reach our host. They weren't sure, their English being very rudimentary. We went into the establishment and looked about where we found a laminated card on a desk which asked guests to call a number, fortunately we had a phone, when the phone was finally answered with a "hello", no mention of what we had reached, no welcome, nothing, we asked if it was the guesthouse number, and were brusquely told yes and upon giving our name we were told a room number and told the key would be in the door. It was. This did not happen to us alone, every evening of the three nights we were there we helped other people who were standing in the dark in front of the door wondering how to get in. This is an appalling and nerve wracking reception after flying half way around the world, being tired and disoriented. The room was clean enough, but under the bed hadn't been dusted in months. The bed frame in our room was falling apart, the shower does not drain properly and we had to constantly turn the shower off so that we would not have a flood. We never once saw our host and no one inquired as to our wellbeing. If you are desperate consider it, but until they improve their check-in procedures don't stay here, you might be waiting for hours!
