"We can't say enough about our wonderful stay at the Casa del Sol in Ajijic, Jalisco, Mexico! Casa del Sol is perfectly situated in El Centro, within easy walking distance to the plaza, church, shops, the Malecon, and restaurants. The hotel is deceivingly spacious, considering its low profile from the street. When you enter the front atrium, you find yourself in a very large covered courtyard adorned with lush tropical plants and amazing artwork and sculptures. (All the art is for sale!) From there, the rooms spread out across two floors, interspersed with outdoor terraces, a guest kitchen, a guest lounge, two rooftop terraces, and multiple nooks for reading or enjoying a margarita. The backyard heated pool is immaculate and so inviting. We enjoyed afternoon swims every day. The rooms have Mexican charm yet come with all the modern conveniences including air conditioning, televisions, and spacious bathrooms. Breakfast is included with the room and includes Greek yogurt topped with granola and fresh fruit; menu selections such as pancakes and omelettes which change daily; bacon or sausage; etc. The hotel's owner greeted us every morning with coffee and answers to all of our questions about Ajijic, local restaurants, and the area culture. The staff were amazing. Casa del Sol is hands-down the best hotel we've stayed at in Ajijic. We've already made a reservation for our next visit!"

"The location was decent because it was a short distance walk to downtown. There are no amenities there to talk about there was one very hot day and we had decided to buy a one day pass at another hotel so we can enjoy the pool they do serve breakfast in the morning but nothing to talk about don't think I can say that at least we were able to get coffee and a yogurt. The stuff is very nice and very accommodating it is quiet in the hotel the furniture of the room are very old but we enjoyed the balcony and the shower was very good."
