Convenient stopover off the A26.

Posted 16-Jun-2016
Pros: Secure parking. Locked overnight.
Cons: Renovate the rooms.
Location: Located on the outskirts of town. It took 45 minutes to walk in through very dull suburbs with very steep climb at the end. Interesting historic town
Very tired small room. Comfortable bed. Interesting town, 45 minutes walk through very dull suburbs.

Super break en route to ski

We are really and joyed staying at the hotel campanile. Laon was just right for a stop over on our way to Chamonix. The visit to the cathedral was most enjoyable. A super little town and The restaurant at the hotel did us proud.

Good hotel for a comfortable nights sleep

Posted 10-Oct-2015
Pros: The hotel is easy to find. The beds are very comfortable and you are guaranteed a good nights sleep. The parking is secure at night.
Location: Laon has a very interesting old city to visit.
Was welcomed by the hotel manager. It is very useful that reception is manned until 11p.m. Good choice at the buffet and efficient service. It is always a plus to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

Run down and unfriendly

Posted 18-Aug-2015 on Hotels
Despite the 24 hours reception, no one was there, the serving staff in the restaurant ignored me for some time, then gave me my key, saying I couldn't have a meal. It wasn't 21.00 yet, and the restaurant is supposed to open till 22.00. The room was clean enough. The bathroom wasn't. The roller blind didn't darken the room sufficiently, so you was flashing neon lights from the room. The nearby road was noisy all night, as were some of the hotel guests. Worse hotel from this chain ever.

Yearly over night on way home

Posted 12-Jul-2015 on Hotels
Yearly stopover returning from South to England, slightly down from last year but two small problems (damp towels and window blind ) sorted. Will stay again next year
