"This is a huge, spacious villa with breathtaking views from most windows. It really is in a spectacular position looking over the bay of Agia Pelagia. We loved the pool and the open plan seating areas inside. Every room has an ensuite which is an excellent bonus. We particularly enjoyed the hidden gem of Lygaria beach which is a quiet, family resort with a handful of nice restaurants. "We had a lovely stay. It was end of season and the resort was only half full, they were also closing a day early so had arranged our transfer to another hotel at no cost to ourselves. In addition because of this we were upgraded. The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. This was really useful when arranging days out (make sure you have cash!). "Wish I could have rated my stay at the Diouskouri. Our reservation was made over two days in advance of our attempted check in. After many phone calls to the manager who was somewhere in Iraklion while we were in the hotel lobby, we were told to check in at the hotel down the road. The substitute hotel lacked hot water, a decent internet connection and one of the main ceiling lights didn't work. The substitute hotel was not a three star but we paid three star rates. Not a repeat."
