Though Hillcrest may not have many top sights, you can venture to the surrounding area to see attractions like Mirror Lake and Lake Placid Winter Olympic Museum.
Chester Shores
While Chester Shores isn't home to many top sights, Loon Lake Beach and Loon Lake are some notable places to visit nearby.
Crater Club
While Crater Club may not have many sights to explore, venturing just a little farther will lead you to top things to see and do like Greystone and Thompsons Point.
Skylark Beach
While there might not be top attractions in Skylark Beach, you can explore the larger area and discover places like Thurman Pond and Seagle Music Colony.
Hampton Inn & Suites Lake Placid
Breakfast was awful. None of the food is freshly made. It's all cheap, packaged and highly processed food. Fruit is canned. Pastry selection is lacking. Eggs are salty and premade. No real maple syrup to go with the waffles. Needs improvement

Parking was easy and centrally located for easy access to main street.

Lake Placid Inn: Residences
The unit was clean. Thought the beds were comfortable. Great location across from store. Great having two bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Lake Placid Inn Main Street
The floors were dirty upon arrival and we did have an issue with used/ bad body odor smell with the comforter that was on the bed. We called and they arrange to swap it out. Also the pull out couch was broken and not a comfortable couch to lounge on.
