I've stayed at he Manna on numerous occasions its location in the centre of Hahndorf is great and the rooms are clean and comfortable but why do they charge so much for a 500 ml of water, surely a complimentary water would not be too much to ask.
The hotel is a mid range hotel right in the middle of the town so the perfect place to explore this tourist town. Rooms are comfortable and air conditioned. The staff were great and in our instance proactively sought to rectify a mistake they had made on payments. It has a laundry room also at a reasonable rate. Perfect place to use as a staging post to visit all the sights of the Adelaide Hills region.

Beautiful location in Adelaide Hills near historic German town of Hahndorf. Resort set in lovely park with a pond and birds to enjoy. Close enough for day trip to Kangaroo Island. Recommend day tour combined with ferry ride from Cape Jervis booked online with SeaLink. Short drive to The Gorge Wildlife Park where holding a koala is included in price of admission. Easy drive to Adelaide. Short walk to shops and restaurants in Hahndorf.
This is a lovely hotel but it is too expensive. The rooms were nearly $400 and that didn't include breakfast. Continental breakfast was about $30 and looked average. So when I asked for a flat white and was told that was "extra" I was unimpressed. When I discovered the "extra" was $4.50 I left the breakfast room. Surely for $430 a night I could get a coffee of my choice. It is the small things.
Room good only small problem was we could hear all noises from next door and they could probably hear us.toilets flushing showers running etc walls must carry sound I guess.apart from that very comfortable.
Some 26 kms (16 miles) from Adelaide’s central business district, the picture-postcard farmlands and charming villages of the Adelaide Hills have inspired generations of artists. The drawcard German-heritage townships of Hahndorf and Lobethal are lined with high-quality craft shops, galleries, bakeries, restaurants, and cafes. And The Cedars historic house and working studio of iconic Australian landscape artist Sir Hans Heysen is a must-see. Other highlights include: Mount Lofty Botanic Garden, located at Crafters; Stirling village’s cafes, restaurants, boutiques, and magnificent pinoak and oak trees; Aldgate Pump Hotel (c. 1864); and Warrawong Wildlife Sanctuary.
