"Parking was easy but what a place to get out of! The one way system was a bit mad. Also, TV remote wasn't working. "

"The hotel was in poor condition and dirty in places, room was tidy but needed deep clean. Bath had several rust marks and although clean parts of room could do with a bit more attention. Parking was good apart from the pigeons! Wasn't told about price of parking until booked in, needs to be more upfront. I would imagine hotel was top rate in its day now needs lots of money spent on it to bring it up to modern standards. Dogs in bedrooms I'm still not sure."

"Me and my Friends just got back from here . The place was lovely and the Rooms really nice . Glad we had a fan in our room because otherwise it would be unbearable to stay in . The staff were lovely and very welcoming. Always asked if we wanted anything like drinks etc . Went above and beyond. The food was excellent and delicious. Got plenty of it . 💯 perfect"

"It's not the best example of a four star hotel. I wouldn't give it that rating - maybe a good 3 star. It's not very fancy. The layout is rubbish. I had to walk through the leisure centre to get to my first floor room. I don't know why the stairs were so far away from reception. Odd. The bed gave a comfortable sleep. The room was a bit noisy because it was near a connecting door but apart from that, it was a good size. The shower and the toiletries were fine. You could tell that the hotel was a bit dated but the decor was fine. We were having poor weather for May, so I appreciated the radiator being on. The breakfast was a reasonable standard. It had some local produce which was nice to see - Shropshire tea and Ludlow preserves. I appreciated the healthy options like porridge "toppings" even though there was no actual porridge (at least, if there was I didn't see it and I didn't ask!). The staff were a little bit "casual" but friendly enough. I mean, it was one of those situations where they were busy talking and interacting with each other and not paying me much attention as a customer. I thought paying for parking was a bit of a surprise but in the end the charge worked out OK for the length of my stay."
