It is what it is. Shame about the people hanging around the front and in the car clearly "smoking" The area around the hotel had a very "distinctive" smell. The hotel itself was fine, big room all facilities included and a good breakfast.

Our second time here. Still good, but the heat didn't work in our room. The receptionist seemed to believe that the heating was on a timer but was unsure of the times. When we returned at 8:30 PM and the room was still cold, the receptionist offered us a portable electric heater, which we thankfully took.It wasn't quite as good, but better than nothing.

Loved that it was steps from all the busses and the train. So polite with the service. Older building full of charm -city noises—but free ear plugs in the drawer if needed. Would stay again

We’ve stayed here a few times and it is consistently good. Easy check in by friendly staff. High standard of cleanliness. We had breakfast at a busy time but this was handled professionally by the dining room staff as they worked hard to keep the food topped up. Great variety and presentation of hot, tasty food. Excellent value for money.

Nice hotel. Lovely staff. Good breakfast. Great location for central Aberdeen easy to get to by car, and then easy to get round by foot (next to city centre), train, bus (right by station) or car (free car park) Only issue was a lack of plug sockets in the room. There were only two in the room. If you’re watching tv and boiling a kettle then you can’t charge your phone or devices. Which was annoying with two of us in the room. Also hard to boil a kettle as the plug height doesn’t allow the kettle to sit anywhere safe whilst boiling. There are no shelves or surfaces other than the floor near the plugs. And the kettle lead is to short to let it be satin the floor when plugged in.

Great location to catch the train. The building is definitely older, the floors were extremely creeky. The elevator took its sweet sweet time. Other than those two small things, the staff were friendly, the location was good.

The only bad thing about our stay was that in the morning my partner took a shower and the hot water was not working, it would randomly go freezing cold every few seconds. Other than that it was a lovely place to stay and would recommend.

Great location in the centre of the city. Lovely building and the breakfast is excellent. Room was clean and well maintained. Staff friendly. One reservation is that the building is old and the flooring very creaky. I could have used an additional blanket which wasn't available.

We have stayed several times and the part of the hotel we’ve stayed in has been quite recently renovated. Breakfast buffet is very good and plentiful. Only criticism is the set up for smokers at the front door and having to walk through a quite often smoky entrance. Not for first impressions and I’m sure a compromise could be reached to satisfy all patrons and staff team
