Hidden gem
It was a pleasant surprise, I did not know Aalst and was looking for a hotel near Affligem. it is really easy to travel from Aalst without the traffic from Brussels or Antwerp. it is a 3 star hotel with 4 star quality. The personnel is really nice and looking after you. The rooms are really spacious and comfortable, nice decoration and some state of the art tech in the rest room. They have a newly opened gastronomic restaurant, which was the best surprise as I was not expecting this but rather more a brasserie type of restaurant. Wine and food were excellent.

Great stay!
Wendy was AMAZING! She greeted our group and took the time to explain everything more than once (we had a large group) for everyone. She even recognized us on the street later and asked us how our trip was going. The room was large and clean.

One to remember
Lovely hotel, and kind staff got our breakfast early so we could head off to catch an early ferry. Aalst is a nice town to overnight.

Royal Astrid Hotel, Aalst
Made very welcome on arrival, parking is in public car park behind Hotel (easy walk back to Hotel) at only 3 Euros for the night. Easy walk to town for shops and bars. Restaurant next door to Hotel (and recommended by the Hotel) is excellent. Enjoyable breakfast. Very good stop off Hotel.

Nice little hotel. The bell outside didn't seem to work and I rang it a few times before I gave up and called the number listed and someone finally came to reception. The hotel is decorated beautifully downstairs. Not very lively so if you like a quiet hotel this is the place for you. The room was perfectly nice and spacious. Nice bathroom and shower. Breakfast is very sparse but I think the receptionist/waitress would make something if you asked but I never had time. Overall would stay again

Good location and kind staff
I stayed for 3nights at single room. Location was nice which is middle of town. Receptionist was very nice and gave prompt feedback of my request. Hotel is renewalling thesedays, therefore have some noise and I'm not sure an air conditioner is equipped in other rooms cuz didn't in my room..Receptionist gave me a fan though, since the first day was over about 35 degree, it was difficult for me to have nice rest especially the first day. But rest days were ok.

Room was small a little tight for two people but it was great for our purposes as we were in the hotel for a few hours each night. Breakfast was good and coffee plentiful.staff was great ex. Even after arriving 5 hours early they made coffee and cleaned room first so as not to wait

Aangenaam en rustgevend verblijf
Heel aangename hotel, aangenaam personeel, service was uitstekend. Heel warme, ruime kamer (Deluxe), waar ons dochter gratis mee mocht verblijven. Naar netheid van de kamer toe was alles perfect, er werd niet automatisch gepoetst op de kamer zoals in sommige hotels, wel als je een label hing aan de deur. Voor ons was dit juist goed, want je werd dan niet gestoord 's morgens en we kregen dagelijks een vers pakket handdoeken. De ontbijtplateaus bleven ook staan op de kamer tot na de middag, wat mogelijk maakte om op gemak te eten en niet te haasten. Dus voor ons was dat positief. Over het algemeen hebben we een heel aangenaam en rustgevend verblijf gehad. Ik zou het aanbevelen aan anderen!
