It was really great to walk into the hotel with air conditioning during France's "heat wave". Our room was nice and cool and good size too. It looked like redecorated fairly recently. Overall, it was an excellent stay. The patron was very helpful but it would have been nice if he spoke just a tiny bit of anglais. We muddled through with my tiny bit of schoolboy french and many gestures. The kitchen/dining area was well equipped, it was a case of working everything out for myself. This was a wonderful discovery! Beautiful tranquil setting with a charming host. The property is accessible via a quaint forest road. Having meals on our veranda overlooking the lake was a wonderful break. Dinner was perfect (4-course), and breakfast fresh and included lovely pastries and or course a gorgeous Frech croissant, the perfect start to a day in the charming French countryside.

Lovely welcome. Pool and sauna a bonus. Comfortable bed and good sized room. The owner gave a very good recommendation for a local restaurant and explained where to park and how to find it. All in all a lovely stay.
