Polis hotels

Stayed in May 2014 (2 adults), for a week. Had a ground floor beach-facing room which was fantastic. All facilities good (except for pool table out of order, didn't affect us). Food good and very friendly staff. Location great with or without car.

My friend and I stayed here (recommended by a friend) and we had a very relaxing, enjoyable time. We were upgraded to a larger room than we'd reserved. The staff was VERY friendly, the grounds were very beautiful, the food at Soma was great. It is right across from the Marina which had a lot of restaurants and a few little shops. The beach is great for sea-rock collecting and has a lovely sidewalk to take you along the coastline. We went at the start of the season; so, the hotel was pretty empty. It seems that there are a lot of child-friendly activities, but there is also a very nice adult-only pool. The spa was nice, too. I would definitely recommend renting a car during your stay.

LIKES: - Amazing pools, one for kids one for adults - Next to restaurants, 3 ATM's, 3 petrol stations, a huge supermarket, a kiosk - Friendly staff - Trustworthy air conditioning unit (you need it in Cyprus) - Huge parking area - Quite clean DISLIKES: - Old technology tv with 4 channels

We had a great stay here, lovely and clean great staff and very nice owners, the beach isn't for laying on but the sea is fantastic for a swim, we didn't have breakfast as not a lover of continental but other guests said it was very nice. Lovely area around the pool for sunbathing but we preferred the garden which is particularly well kept and you can get a drink or snack from the outside bar anytime up until about 10pm. The bbq on a Friday night is a must especially when in Cyprus it is my absolute favourite,the lady of the house is a very good cook of real cypriot food. I would hire a car if visiting July, August or September simply because even though most things are within 20 mins walk it is no joke when it is 35 plus degrees and let's face it a taxi costs 60 plus euros from the airport so you can take 120 euros off the car hire price from the start.all in all a very good holiday and will be returning next year .

wonderful holiday great hosts No.1 son George was very helpful and informative and delivered a lovely breakfast including Mamas homemade jams and lemonade. No.2 son "The Commander" kept the pool immaculately clean and filled with spring drinking quality water, and was always ready for a chat

The hotel has seen better days in terms of decor and fittings, but it was impeccably clean and whilst old, everything worked incuding the air con. All safety measures had been proprly taken, ie smoke alarm etc and all lights worked. It is clearly a family-run business with very few staff, but for anyone looking for somewhere different, away from the beach crowds, this is worth a look. The food we were served was superb and Cypriot. We enjoyed our short stay and it was good value. We hope to go back. It needs investment but these are hard times in Cyprus.

Great quiet location, a short walk to the town centre. Staff very polite & helpful. Rooms clean and tidy.
