"Room was good though the view was just the side road entrance to the car park. Hotel staff all very friendly and the public areas had a good ambiance. Breakfast was excellent. Our problems were with the comfort levels in the room. There were 8 pillows in our room but all with the same degree of firmness, all were extremely firm with no give at all. Hair drier, iron and ironing board were provided. Great range of hair shampoo, conditioner and shower gel as well as a soap bar. Nice quality towels and good shower pressure. "The service was great and the locationanazing. The walls however were very thin and we could hear all the noise from the pub and the kitchen downstairs in the morning. Also there was an emergency exit light in the room which was very large and therefore it lit the whole room up and disturbed our sleep. "

"This old coaching inn has been well revamped, service is first class. The food was excellent with good response to individual needs. Although pricey the rooms were up to a high standard. The roll top bath, with no screen, was a triumph of design over functionality. There was nowhere to put the soap! Having a shower without flooding the floor was tricky. The Chef produced first class dishes on every occasion. "

"Edward and Helen were so attentive, they spent time telling us about the history of their amazing home. The room was very comfortable, clean and warm. "Chef could not handle my no salt soft diet. My wife had to forget about her low salt diet. We were disappointed with the menu, which I found impossible to read because I am red green colour blind. The hotel appeared to not understand what is colour blindness. We shall book again as we have done before. But we will not eat in the evening. This is the second time that we have had issues with the food. "
