"We were assigned to room 204 even though the hotel was not full. Directly below our room is a bar that plays music until midnight. The hotel is great - just make sure you ask for a room on the fifth floor opposite side of the bar! "

Mercure has a restaurant but was closed. The next morning we were asked if we enjoyed are stay and said yes but room was very hot. We were then told air-con will not be installed until end of 2023. Not impressed."

"Bien situé. Par contre, le système d'enregistrement sur place ne fonctionnait pas: heureusement qu'il y avait des personnes ayant des réservations dans l'hôtel et ayant compris ce qu'il fallait faire, qui étaient là pour expliquer la procédure quand le système ne marchait pas ... visiblement, quand il y a un bug, il n'y a pas vraiment de procédure disponible pour savoir ce qu'il faut faire."

"Good value hotel in Biel. Breakfast included. They have a parking offer for 15.- per day close by, better than playing 2.20 per hour for public spots in the streets close to the hotel. Recommended."

"We were fortunate enough to meet the brothers/owners of this charming hotel. It was clean, the food was delicious and the service was superb. "

"We had a pleasant stay at Hotel Murten with our family. We really appreciated the convenient location, close to the lake and the village. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The room is large and comfortable, although it could use some update in the furniture. Also tv was not working during our stay. The restaurant is good and has a large choice, but unfortunately it was closed both Sunday and Monday. All in all, we recommend this property and we thank the staff for welcoming us!"

"The room was very basic. We booked a 4 bed room (because that’s all was available) but when we checked in it was a small 2 bed room. No amenities in the room such as tea/coffee. Quite expensive for the facilities."

"Very nice and well-kept older hotel. The breakfast room was exquisite. The best thing for us was the hot water and strong pressure in the shower and the bedding was fantastic. Love the soft feather pillows and duvets."

"Great accommodations for a small mountain town. The building was gut renovated in 2019 after having sat dormant for years after the previous hotel on site was burned down. Loved the inside vibe though the decor inside the hotel rooms were a bit sparse (spacious though). For Americans, there is no AC (not particularly uncommon) so beware. Hostess was good at communicating late checkin procedures since we did not arrive at the property until 10 pm. Overall lovely stay with all our basic needs...

"Very nice small hotel about 12 minutes away from Biel. Recommended. Free parking and reasonable price. Note their restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, but there is a very nice restaurant 2 minutes away called Bahnhof but closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays!"
