This Hotel is a few minutes walk from the centre. Staff are very friendly and helpful, room was soacious and comfortable, and the bird life in the grounds amazing.

Really enjoyed our stay! Felt less commercialised than some of the other hotels we stayed in which was nice, lots of wildlife around. We enjoyed the pool and bar area and the hot tubs were great to sit in in the early evening. Breakfast was really good and set us up well for the day. Nice there was a short trail on site too. Rooms was spacious and felt quite private with a good space out the front to sit.

We had a wonderful stay at La Fortuna Lodge. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming and the overall vibe was great. We stayed in a room with a view of the volcano and we were able to watch birds directly. The bed and room were comfortable. Centrally located for easy access to shops and restaurants. Perfect stay. the hotel was exceptionally clean and the room with the balcony, where I saw squirrels and all sorts of birds amazing. The room even had netflix. I could literally live in there, thanks for a perfect stay

Overall Monte Real hotel got everything right. The room was comfortable with a balcony and view over garden and endless bird visitors. Breakfast was sited next to the river with otter, herons, squirrels in residence. There was a wildlife garden by the river where frogs could be sighted. The staff were super friendly and very helpful

the hotel is in a beautiful setting with views of the lake.The staff were very helpful. The accomodation is very comfortable and spacious. A very good breakfast cooked to order. I would suggest you need a car to benefit all that the area has to offer. Overall an excellent stay.

We booked a room upstairs and it was fabulous. Very well-maintained, spacious and clean room. We sat early each morning and drank our coffee and watched the birds start their day. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Gabi was amazing for suggestions of food and tours too! Breakfast is a 2-3 minute walk away at an eco spot which does not disappoint! They put food out for the animals and you can watch them while you enjoy fresh fruit, local coffee and great eggs or traditional breakfast....

I recently stayed at La Fortuna, Natural Green Lodge. When I arrived to check in, there wasn’t anyone at the front desk, and I had to wait about five minutes before someone appeared. What a wonderful hotel with fantastic staff! Our hire car broke down a kilometre from the hotel. I walked to the reception of hotel and was greeted by the extremely helpful Kembly. She phoned the car hire company and got everything sorted for the problem to be resolved. She then got me a cool refreshing drink from the restaurant.
