"This was a traumatic experience. The room we booked well in advance was not available. It was given to other guests who arrived a day before. We know this because we understand Italian and heard the receptionist saying so on the phone to the manager. "It was perfect! The staff helped us order pizza after we arrived late. We slept through our alarm as it was so peaceful. We were not charge late check out . Very happy all around!"

"Ok this place was incredible! 14th century frescos, beautiful rooms, Venetian glass chandeliers… it was like going back in time yet with all the amenities like big gorgeous bathroom and AC which was needed. Our room was HUGE with a king bed and nice sitting area. The staff were all SO great, helpful and incredibly welcoming. Breakfast was delicious every morning. Very close to everything you want to see. Very very clean. I think they need to replace the bed pillows as they were flat and uncomfortable… but I didn’t ask for others and I am sure they would have accommodated me because they were so wonderful."

"Pros: close to city centre, wonderful staff, excellent breakfast. Cons: the room/bed was extremely uncomfortable. We both woke up with tons of back pain, it was like sleeping on a pull out couch. I woke up multiple times in the night as the room was also very hot. The room was very dated, although clean. If rooms get updated, I would recommend. Otherwise, I would not return."

"Had to change rooms as small tiles on bathroom floor lifting and left sharp edges you could cut your foot with. Took two days from the day I asked to get another room. Toilet flush on the wall not secured/moving about also water on/off in shower pulling out of the wall. Windows in room poorly fitted with gaps all around. "
