Definitely one of our favourite places we have stayed in all of Japan. This place has character and atmosphere although the interior is dated we loved it

Excellent position, unusually large room, great price! Prime hotel!

We really liked this hotel! It was very comfortable, in a great location, and had a great breakfast buffet. It isn't close to the train station, but once we figured out the streetcar it was actually very easy to get to. Lots to do in the nearby area, and nice walk to bomb memorial. An added bonus was the full Japanese bathroom - very nice! We'd highly recommend this hotel.

So convenient - connected to JR station. I have stayed there twice in 6 months. Very helpful staff and great room.

Room was alright, nothing to write home about. Staff too, compared to some other hotels on the trip. The location is excellent, near the Peace Park and the local shopping area in Hiroshima - which was excellent at night.

Location is good. It is a small hotel with relatively old exterior, however, the room is clean and cosy. I lived in a double room with 2 beds, space were enough for 2 people.

We stayed in four different hotels in Japan and out of the 4 hotels, this is my no.1 hotel. Firstly because of the onsen and sauna it provides. 24 hour drinks is a marvellous idea. Everything is perfect. The bed is so comfortable. Highly recommend the place.

Close to the JR station and close to the war memorial tourist zone

JAL city was very conveniently located about 5-10 mins walk from Hiroshima train station. Our room had a great view overlooking the river. The rooms are older and in need of some renovation. The lobby is nice and staff are very friendly. The breakfast was a nice buffet with scrambled eggs, sausage, garlic French fries, and croissants as well as a variety of Japanese food. Its worth the extra per night for the convenience though the station is close by with many other options. Its about 15 min walk to the downtown area and about the same to the atomic dome. Nice overall.

The rooms were clean and average size for a Japanese hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a good mix of Western and Japanese food. There was also a free coffee machine in the lobby for use after 3pm. The hotel is very close to the Peace Park and there is a tram stop nearby for access to the station. The hotel had a few bikes that guests could borrow free of charge, so we were able to go for a cycle along the river side.
