"Nice hotel"
Nice hotel. rooms are great except for the air conditioner. You have to insert a card in your room in order to have electricity and air conditioner. In July, it does not get cold enough in the room

"Very pleasant good value hotel "
This hotel was ideal for a short Rome break. It is set in an attractive garden entrance back from the road. From reading about the EUR district I got the impression the hotel surroundings would be urban and built up but it is on the edge of the neighbourhood centre, next to countryside (Parco della Caffarella) and near to the Appian Way and the catacombs of Santa Domitilla and San Callisto. The hotel is airy and spacious, the room clean and comfortable. Breakfast is good - not as much variety of hot and cold meats and cheese as one might expect in a more expensive hotel but plenty of fresh bread and fresh fruit is available. A few local shops are a few minutes walk away and it takes 7 or 8 minutes to walk to the main road where there are plenty of buses into the centre of Rome. The staff are friendly and helpful.

"Hotel in Rome"
Very nice hotel. Very nice and helpful staff. A little bit far from the main sites in Rome. I would diffently stay here again.

"Relaxing and quiet"
The hotel was nice, quiet and a perfect place to go when you want to stay away from crowds. It had a very charming atmosphere. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. I liked the amenities; there was a restaurant on site, free wifi, flat screen tv with many channels, a hair dryer, and public transportation (literally steps away). I was particularly happy because I had spent 2 weeks on a cruise with many tourists and I felt tired of crowds pushing at each other just to get a glimpse of the sites. I felt that being off on my own was much more like a vacation because I had the option to get up when I wanted, to see sites that I was interested in at my own pace, and to have my privacy. Public transit info: the bus stop is literally in front of the hotel and runs frequently. It takes about 10minutes to get to the metro using the bus. The metro then takes you directly to the colloseum within 20 minutes (approximately 30-40 minute total travel time). If you plan to visit Vatican city, then you transfer at the termini metro station, which makes the total travel time approximately 40 minutes. Additionally, there was a shopping mall nearby that was fun to walk to. It's very different from American malls, but very fun to experience. Also, breakfast was included with the room and the cappuccinos were my favorite.

"It was hard to find, but not a bad place..."
Park Hotel Blanc et Noir isn't the Ritz-Carlton by any stretch of the imagination but it isn't too bad either. It is a big place, and offers breakfast, and parking if you have a car. The rooms were dark and spooky because they were so old. It was a bit hard to find, but it was an OK place once you got used to it. Looking back at it now, there are worse hotels you could spend the night.

Pocket Guide: Rome EUR 3 stars Hotels

A couple of miles south of the city centre, EUR takes its name from Esposizione Universale di Roma, built for an exhibition in 1942. The bombastic architecture was then intended to glorify Fascism, but now is home to shops, cinemas and clubs and exhibitions. Within the marble halls there are also three very good museums, including the fascinating Museum of Roman Civilization.
