"Great location and there’s a really big safe/lock box for each person under the bed - bring your own lock! Everything was super clean too. My only problem was how long the check in process took since there were only two people at the front desk and they worked very slowly"

"Nice place, great location but the stairs were a total nightmare for all of us. Every set was different and some were too narrow for a foot and really awkward. I loved the whole time in fear that I would hurt myself and ruin my trip. Definitely a hotel for the very young! No air in some of the rooms if you are there for a hotter season it was muggy. "

"This hostel met all of our needs. It is right on the edge of then Red Light District, so quiet a lot of people around, tough to drive to because of the very narrow streets & masses of people. They had a valet service to park our car, but was $45/day. Lots to do and see from this location within 30 min of walking. No elevator in the building, so be prepared to lug your bags up several of flights of stairs. "

"Melvin was great from the on set of my trip. Understanding and customer focused service from him was much appreciated. He let me use his charger for my stay, very accommodating and honest. It was a little warm in my room which was surprising. Great thing is the windows open nice and wide. Great mattress and pillows. Thanks Melvin, appreciate you fully. Cheap accommodation in the heart of central Amsterdam, it’s true to its rating ( ** ) but the service and location was far superior. "

"It's cheap due to the age of the rooms, they could do with some maintenance. No lift so you need to carry large bags up steap steps. Location is awesome."

"Repeat stay at EasyHotel Zaandam. Location is great with 3 block walk from station and crovery (Albert Heijn) across the street or across from the station. Other shopping across the street and the Dam is on a 4 minute walk, with plenty of restaurants and bars. Hotel rooms are clean, water is hot with good pressure and bed is comfortable. What the room lacks is storage space for luggage and wall hooks for clothing. Even a carry-on bag is a tough fit in a standard room. Rooms are on floors 9,10,11...

"Great budget hotel in Amsterdam… super cute and extremely friendly staff that didn’t hesitate to let us know where to eat/sightsee/etc. Close to major sites. It was a loud at night, but that didn’t bother us as we’ve lived in big cities before. Stairs sucked after a long day of walking (we were on the top floor) but hey, it helped burn off all the wine I drank!"
