"The apartment is situated on the first floor, but the lift up made it really easy to bring luggage in, and the reserved parking space is right outside. It’s a few minutes walk from a supermarket and various eating places. It’s also possible to walk into the town very easily ,and along the river in both directions, which was a lovely walk. "We enjoyed our stay at the Keep. As our family live nearby they were able to help us settle in. We couldn't have managed carrying luggage up the second stairs otherwise. Perhaps more detail could be put into the prebooking information. The flat was very comfortable but surprised there wasn't a collander and a small kitchen knife. Toilet seat was very loose on arrival but our son-in-law tightened it as best he could. Sash windows need attention."

However due to COVID we were asked to check in 2 hours later so that the apartment could be "deep cleaned". We therefore didn't expect to find dirty cupboards, crockery and cutlery. We were offered another let close by or our money back. The property was acceptable, but not at all accessible for two 75+ year olds with a lot of luggage and supplies. "The property was relatively clean, tidy, warm and well appointed, but unlike all other self catering bookings I have made there were no welcome items, such as a small bottle of milk, tea bags etc. There is no way within the apartment to adjust the heating without turning down each individual radiator thermostat. The lighting on the long path leading to the courtyard was very poor; specifically by the gate where there was no lighting at all by the steps, which in the dark is a safety hazard,...

"The freezer needs defrosting and it would have been nice to have had some milk and tea on our arrival, most places leave a small welcome pack. The flat smells musty and could have been cleaner but we enjoyed our stay nevertheless. It was a very reasonable price."
