“Excellent value for money”

The hotel facilities were excellent. The only negative point I have was that a wedding was taking place on Sat afternoon when we arrived and all the guests were in the foyer and it was difficult to book in. The room was clean and spacious. The hotel is in walking distance to the Old Town.

“Excellent break”

We got this hotel through Expedia at a very good rate for a long weekend. The hotel was excellent and terrific value. Breakfast (included) was good with a good choice of food. Evening meals were good value with a reasonable choice of dishes available. Bars and resaurants were within walking distance (10-15 mins)

“Not a four star hotel”

Stayed two nights in August 2009 to visit family. Hotel is undergoing a refurbishment, which does not add to the experience. Room was very tired and dated, with an uncomfortably soft bed. Bathroom had mould on the walls and cracked floor tiles. Restuarant was closed, so breakfast was served in a function room which was far too small to accommodate the number of guests. New bar area was more like a canteen, but very overpriced for Swindon.

“Good for a quick stop over”

We stayed here for a quick over nighter. Very nice hotel. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Service from staff was very good. The only thing that put me off maybe going back or staying more than one night was food and room service prices. But for a flying and comfy visit, very nice.

“Lovely Hotel for a base in the Cotswolds”

Rooms were large, clean and comfortable and the service at the reception was first class. I was looking for some info on where to visit and the guy on reception showed me some leaflets and also told me to visit Avebury which was only 20mins away. The service in the bars was attentive, a little pricey though. Facilities like the changing rooms for the pool were spotless and classy. Lovely hotel, couldn't recommend it more.

Castle Coombe beautiful village, 20mins away. Avebury stone cirles and also the The Kings Hotel a pub up the road was fun even though the toilets were . . . manky! Good bands in there.
