"I defy anyone to find friendlier staff than those at The Elmer - nothing is too much trouble and you are made to feel welcome from the minute you step through the door. The food in the restaurant is really good - particularly useful to know as there's nowhere else nearby to eat! We had a wonderful walk along the beach before dinner. "Booked as attending a wedding nearby that began at 11am and went until late at night. Staff were so accommodating; I was able to check in early which was really helpful. Room was clean and modern, bed was comfortable, shower pressure and temperature were great. I didn’t eat but breakfast looked nice. Would definitely stay again if visiting the area. "

"Went for a Christmas party and stayed over. Meal was very good. Bar prices ok for draught beers and wines but spirits drain the wallet. Disco entertainment kept the dancers happy. The hotel itself though is very tired and needs spending on. Furniture and decor outdated. Rooms strangely arranged in shape. The first room I was incorrectly shown to had a dirty tissue on the floor so poorly cleaned. The host Igor was happy to relocate me to the room I had booked. I wouldn't tell people to stay away...

"Would recommend this to anyone! Friendly, helpful staff. Wonderful bed, so comfy. Lovely large room with tea & coffee making, ironing board, iron, and a jar of jelly beans! Very clean. Had a meal in the restaurant with friends. It was delicious. I had cottage pie, our friends had the pork stuffing pie, great desserts and was not overpriced either."

"The property is a lovely old building right in the centre of MIDHURST . Such a shame it is closing next week for 2 years and the Council r taking it over for Ukraines ladies & children to live in . Lucky them. The breakfast lady was very helpful sorting food that I could eat being intolerant to wheat & gluten & dairy which was appreciated. The bar lady on Saturday night was nice & chatty as well . Hope it reopens with a chef to cook meals in the evening . "

"Not the most amazing stay. Pebbles in the car park make it very difficult to carry luggage into properly. It was raining and getting from my car into the property dragging luggage was through the pebbles ground wasn’t pleasant. They did wait up for me til about 10:45pm to check me and were quite friendly on arrival. The host was helpful in taking my case up to my room on my arrival but not very helpful at all when I was leaving the next morning and didn’t bat an eyelid when I was struggling...
