Convenient hostel for a short stay

Posted 09-Nov-2014
Minutes away from popular Venice locations. I stayed alone for one night and was pleased with the accommodations. The concierge were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. My only complaints are that the walls are a bit too thin and I thought the morning breakfast was free.

My Venetian Hideaway

Posted 04-Nov-2014
I loved my "garret" room up on the fourth floor of this classic hotel. Travelling alone and travelling light my bag was carried up to my room for me after having been given a friendly welcome at reception. It was a wonderfully quiet place to stay which perfectly suited my needs. At breakfast it was evident that a good number of guests were staying and from all nations but it was never noisy. Guests were respectful of each other's privacy but were friendly. The breakfast, continental unless otherwise requested, was ample with a good range to choose from. I chose not to eat in the restaurant which looked lovely although it was at the upper end of the price scale. My only real disappointment was the lack of facilities for making drinks, either hot or cold. Once the bar closed at 10.30 or 11.00pm there was no way to obtain anything to drink. This hotel is not the cheapest but it is beautifully situated in comfortable walking distance to St Mark's Square, the Rialto or the Academia bridge. So all the key locations are within easy reach. I'd definitely go there again.

Excellent hotel, superb location

Posted 24-Oct-2014
Pros: The artistic and traditional ambience. The well trained and friendly staff. The location and the value for money.
Cons: Air conditioning in the rooms that is switched on in October!
Location: The hotel is very central and ideal for all venues and sites.
One of the best hotels that I've stayed in in Venice. The room was spacious and light although the building itself is old and quaint. All the staff were very welcoming and helpful, not something that you find in all Venetian hotels! Breakfast was basic but perfectly satisfactory and the breakfast room was spacious with plenty of seating The location, adjacent to La Fenice Opera House is very convenient for St Marks, Accademia and the Rialto areas. I couldn't fault it and it was very good value.

I would rate this as a 2 to 3 star, room was shabby and tired. mini bar was not full or replenished (water). Breakfast was Okay. location is good, close to restaurents, rooms are okay if you are paying half the price in short poor value for money

Good hotel in quiet location.

Posted 13-Sep-2014
Pros: Quiet location for good nights sleep.
Location: All that Venice has to offer is easily accessible within short walks direct or by water bus just a few minutes away.
Nice hotel in quiet location but within a short walk to the hustle and bustle of Venice. A few minutes from the water bus on the Grand Canal {S Angelo). Ten minutes stroll to San Marco Square and shops. A great location for exploring Venice. Comfortable, very clean, extensive buffet breakfast and very friendly, helpful staff. I would have no hesitation in staying there again.

Definately not a 4 star hotel

Posted 12-Sep-2014
Pros: The location was good, not too far from the water bus station.
Cons: Cleanliness of the rooms.
The room I stayted in had several mosquitoes buzzing around, and even worse, the walls were stained with blood marks from where previous guests had swatted them.

Great Location

Location: Teatro della Fenice is right next door, closest restaurant is downstairs and st Marks Square is 5 minute walk away.
Located close to San Marco square but in a quiet street away from the shops and noise. The hotel was really nice, tidy, staff was very pleasent and helpful.

Central and close to everything.

I couldn't have picked a better hotel for location, friendliness and cost. Nothing was too much trouble. Would go back to this hotel in the blink of an eye.

Close to everything that you wanna see in venice.

Good hotel, but not 4 star. This hotel is all about the location, right on the centre. Everything within walking distance. If you want luxury and beautiful view stay in one of the grand canal hotels. But for the price we paid I cannot complain.
