très bon hôtel personnel très très accueillant .

Posted 28-Feb-2015

Nice comfortable hotel

Posted 31-Dec-2014
Pros: Location and comfort.
Cons: Clock in the room. English channels on the TV
Location: Opera house, St Mark's Square and the Rialto market were all close by. VinoVino was an excellent and reasonable restaurant.
Staff were so friendly and helpful. Room was small but comfortable. Nice bed, frig with water, coke, and juice. Breakfast was good and helped get your day started. A clock in the room would have been helpful as well as some TV channels with English. Room was quiet . It was centrally located to shops, restaurants and attractions. I enjoyed my stay and would stay there again.

Well located, quirky, historic hotel

Posted 09-Dec-2014
This hotel is in need of new management:.frayed fabric; peeling wallpaper; chipped furniture; poor plumbing; lovely paintings unlit and badly hung; route to the lift littered with staff buckets, old paper files, and disused computers; badly laid out breakfast room; tinned fruit and tinned orange juice etc. Perhaps acceptable for a 2-3 star hotel, but not for a 4-star hotel.

Convenient hostel for a short stay

Posted 09-Nov-2014
Minutes away from popular Venice locations. I stayed alone for one night and was pleased with the accommodations. The concierge were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. My only complaints are that the walls are a bit too thin and I thought the morning breakfast was free.

My Venetian Hideaway

Posted 04-Nov-2014
I loved my "garret" room up on the fourth floor of this classic hotel. Travelling alone and travelling light my bag was carried up to my room for me after having been given a friendly welcome at reception. It was a wonderfully quiet place to stay which perfectly suited my needs. At breakfast it was evident that a good number of guests were staying and from all nations but it was never noisy. Guests were respectful of each other's privacy but were friendly. The breakfast, continental unless otherwise requested, was ample with a good range to choose from. I chose not to eat in the restaurant which looked lovely although it was at the upper end of the price scale. My only real disappointment was the lack of facilities for making drinks, either hot or cold. Once the bar closed at 10.30 or 11.00pm there was no way to obtain anything to drink. This hotel is not the cheapest but it is beautifully situated in comfortable walking distance to St Mark's Square, the Rialto or the Academia bridge. So all the key locations are within easy reach. I'd definitely go there again.
