"The stay was very good the only problem was the ac units had been shut down for the season and the room was very hot 24 degrees and you could not open the windows as there were no screens and the mosquito were still bad. Great location easy walking distance to all places and the restaurant attached was very good. Breakfast was good even had hard boiled eggs which is a very rare thing in Italy it appears that no one eats a big breakfast here only pastries and coffee "

"A truly excellent hotel in terms of value for money, service, cleanliness, decor and transport links. It's a two star, but I suspect if it had a lift it would rank higher. There are only three floors in total and there was a stair lift, if needed, for suitcases etc. The owner is a lovely, friendly and helpful lady and the hotel is directly opposite the train station for Assisi with frequent buses to the old town. I would highly recommend thus hotel. "

"I gave it 5 stars in most areas considering it’s a 3 star hotel. So many travelers, specially us Americans, rate their stays on five star hotel expectations. The staff was friendly and helpful. They had a power outage for about 1 hrs but they dealt with it. I wanted another night which was not available but they found me a room just down the street and checked me in to it at 9am. I liked Il Duomo and the staff and recommend it. "
