Very nice historical yet modern hotel in old city

Posted 06-Jul-2014
Pros: Historical background, location, free minibar, quality of air conditioning and other equipment
Cons: Technical problems like water coming out of the shower area
Location: Very close to the historical site of city
Nice location, very friendly staff, quiet place. English speaking staff very friendly, answers all questions. Walking distance from the historical site, the hotel itself is historical with modern equipment. The room was large, a litlle dark, the room could have had better lighting.Overall a very good experience.

Excellent hotel in a very convenient location.

Posted 04-May-2014
Pros: The location, with a bus stop within easy walking distance. The hotel restaurant was good and we enjoyed our meal there.
Cons: The lighting by the desk was not sufficient, there was no desk lamp.
Location: Good location , easy walking distance to the Plaza del la Virgen and Calle Colon for shopping.
We stayed for four nights at the end of April 2014 and found the hotel to be excellent value and we were particularly impressed by the helpfulness of the staff. The design of the hotel is spectacular and the room was spacious and comfortable.

Quirky little boutique hotel

Posted 28-Apr-2014
Pros: Loved the blend of old and new which was very tasteful. Had a tranquil feeling although just round corner from some of the beautiful main squares.
Cons: I liked everything about the hotel and would certainly return.
Location: Was as at end of a beautiful old cobbled street, and within walking distance of all old town attractions, If you like walking you can walk to beach!
Fabulous quirky little hotel with interesting historical features, ideally situated in the old town of Valencia. Staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating. We went as a family with our 2 teenage children therefore had 2 rooms, both clean, spacious and contemporary. Hotel had a feeling of being very calm and peaceful with a lovely little bar and outside sitting area, and if you wanted something more lively you could walk round corner to one of the main squares.

great hotel in centre of old town

Posted 21-Apr-2014
Pros: as per above comments
Cons: breakfast could be cheaper.
Location: right in heart of old town, close to bus route to get beach and aquarium
hotel is only few minutes walk from valencia cathedral where there are lots of places to eat and relax. Staff were very attentive and knowledable about the area. Nice touches in room such as free mini bar (non alcoholic drinks), litlle sweets left every day. Great walk in power shower. Throughout the hotel there is nice mix of the arcitecture and new. Also nice outdoor space to relax with a drink

Pros: location and staff.
Cons: the lighting in the room wasn't enough!
Location: If you like shopping it's 5 minutes to walk and you are at one of the main shopping area of Valencia.
Went to Valencia on a business trip and the hotel's location was ideal for that purpose...beside this from Caro hotel you can reach the center in 5 minutes.

An almost perfect night

Posted 25-Feb-2014
Pros: Nice feel, Well presented, Comfy bed, nice deep bath
Cons: manner of front desk staff
Location: as above
The hotel was VERY difficult to find. A local was kind enough to get in our car with us to take us to the door, without help i'm not sure we would have found it. After a slightly stressful experience finding the hotel the door staff were superb, taking our bags and parking the car which was very helpful. The staff on the front desk were not so welcoming and seemed to be a little aloof. Their manner caused my partner and I slight distress which could have been avoided with more warmth on their part. The very cheerful and helpful doorman was a breath of fresh air compared. The hotel itself was very nice, and the room was clean and well presented. It was nice to have the terrace to star gaze in the evening both before and after going to the restaurant which is located under the hotel, The food was extremely good and we found the cost very reasonable for the quality. The hotel is located in an extremely nice part of the city which allowed easy access to the old quarter as well as the beautiful park in the middle of the city. All in all a perfect stay that was only slightly tarnished by the staff on the front desk.

A beautiful hotel with brilliant staff

Posted 07-Feb-2014
Pros: The style and the staff and the food and the staff.
Cons: A place to relax other than the bed. A toilet brush.
Location: Almost everything io see and do is nearby and the bus to the City of arts and Sciences is only a few meters away from the hotel
This hotel has great style, having clean lines within the context of a building with remnants of both an old and ancient past. It is in a perfect location. Presentation in the common areas is exquisite even down to the breakfast buffet. The food in the restaurant is delicious as well as beautiful to the eye. It would have been good to have a lounge to relax in after we had checked out (our flight was late in the evening and walking around Valencia all day tired us out), and the only seats in our room were better on the eye than the body. However, the bed was comfortable. Every member of staff whom we encountered, and there were quite a few of them, were delightful, friendly, and very helpful. We would choose to to stay in Hotel Caro again.

Old World meets Contemporary design

The Caro hotel is in a great location in the old part of town. Service is execellent and the rooms are very nice and updated. We had the room with the terrace which was great- but it can get noisy as it overlooks the outside bar and pool. Super spacious and loved the free mini bar. My only issue would be the lack of lighting inside the main room. But would stay here again without thinking twice.
