Situated on a rocky outcropping in Tofino- on the West Coast of Vancouver Island- the Wickaninnish Inn is blessed with a fabulous panoramic view. The hotel stands between the Pacific Ocean- Chesterman Show more beach and a forest of giant evergreens. The design of its two buildings was entrusted to several artists- including the celebrated wood carver Henry Nolla- with the aim of blending art- nature and culture. The rooms with their cedar wood paneling- stone fireplaces and big bay windows- offer grandiose views of the waves breaking on the shore. After a plant or marine-based treatment and an initiation to sea kayaking- you could even set off to see schools of whales just a few miles offshore. Hide
