We only stayed one night but wished it had been longer. The bedroom was spacious and beautifully presented. The views were lovely and the standard of finish in the property was second to none. The hosts, Ian and Linda had thought of everything and we lacked for nothing. We would certainly recommend this bed and breakfast as a great place to stay.
A warm welcome. Very good service with good food. Even though i had to leave for work by 6:30 the lady of the house got up to make breakfast just for me, I have never had service like that anywhere else. There was a good selection of evening meals all cooked to order and good value. I know that when work takes into that area again I will be staying at Lodgehill again.
Our room (4) was very comfortable. Had coffee/tea, biscuits, water, toiletries and the icing on the cake free wi fi that worked! That's a first for us.
Breakfast was very good, cooked to order.
Large car park. What more do you want/need?
This was an extremely last minute booking, and we were pleasantly surprised. Parking available at the rear of the property although there is a small town car park nearby which charges 50p in an honesty box! Room clean and tidy, new furniture, TV, tea and coffee making facilities with plenty of supplies, hairdresser etc. Breakfast was nicely cooked.

John, who was looking after the Catle, was most welcoming and made our stay thoroughly enjoyable. Breakfast was average, ran out of croissants and OJ when we got to the table and they weren't restocked, but we were a little late and the room is rustic but could perhaps have been cleaner. Apart from these two minor (not really) complaints, the rest of the stay was excellent. Great setting and only a short walk to 3 pubs that were doing excellent food and drink.

This attractive town on the river Exe grew rich from wool in the 17th and 18th centuries (to learn more visit the excellent local museum), hence its many fine period buildings. Sights include the fortified manor houses of Tiverton Castle and Bickleigh Castle, and Knightshayes Court, a Victorian country house with rich interiors and a fine garden. Beautiful Exmoor National Park, with its wild scenery, walks and villages begins nine miles east.
