What a nice surprise!

Posted 14-Jun-2014
After a number of questionable reviews I wasn't sure what to expect. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The staff friendly and extremely helpful. The facilities were reasonably good and the food was fine for an all inclusive resort. Overall, I thought the resort offered good value for money and was only shortish walk to the town centre. Definitely a good week's holiday. Would recommend to others.

Don''t go there!

Stains in the carpet, shabby lobby furniture, strange noices in the night, skimpy pillows and blankets, uncomfortable mattress... lobby staff needs language skills...two reception employees told me there is no shuttle survice, a third one asked if I had a reservation for it. When making the reservation, I was told there was shuttle service to the airport! On the plus side is the generous, included breakfast.

No air conditioning, no towels, mattresses very hard. Pillows too flat. No amenities. Need to carry luggage for at least half a block. No WiFi really bad overall

Our impression was overall - good especially the "all-inclusive" service at a reasonable rate. Spacious rooms with with sea-view terrace and a comfortable bath-room.

Clean and friendly hotel

Posted 20-Oct-2013
As our holiday was to relax ,the hotel was perfect with everything we wanted available. Food was good with plenty of choice and very friendly and helpful staff. When we arrived there was some confusion on which hotel we were in due to the hotel being in a group of three, so would be helpful to have known before hand!

Average hotel for families

Posted 30-Dec-2012
Pros: out door swimming pools and beautiful landscape
Cons: Room comfort
Location: Excellent
The hotel is ok but the staff are unhelpful. They charge 6 euros for wifi which only works in wifi zone. You have to ask every time to get your room cleaned and get new towels. Toiletries are very scanty and poor quality and one ends up using your own. Food quality is average but breakfast is not very good as you get scrambled eggs and sausages daily. Not enough choice for vegetarians or Muslims as the pork is mixed in almost every dish. Swimming pools are good quality. No security at the door at night and sometimes rowdy drunkards walk in the lobby and cause nuisance. Because of the wonderful weather you forget about everything and just have a good time

Hotasa Puerto Resort - avoid if you like to sleep

Posted 21-Aug-2010 on Hotels.com
We stayed at the Hotasa Puerto Resort (Bonanza Hotel) with our 3 children in August 2010. Although our rooms were on the 5th floor (and had a great view of the sea) they over-looked the garden/pool area where there was music/shouting from a DJ until midnight. Early in the evening we asked reception how late the noise would go on and we were told until 11pm - it was not until 12 midnight that it eventually stopped. Rooms at this hotel, although generally clean, are quite old-fashioned. In one of our 2 rooms the air conditioning tripped the rest of the room's electrics and, after 3 complaints, we were told that nobody's air con worked after 10pm anyway (as it was now after 10pm, there was no point us complaining any further that night). Meals are all buffet style and both breakfast and dinner were very busy (it was August though) and of below average quality (fruit juice was very watered down and not distingushable as its actual fruit). We were booked to stay at this hotel for 2 nights, but checked out after just one (after the hotel Manager agreed not to charge us for night 2) as, with three small children, we needed to get some sleep! Although this is supposed to be a 4 star hotel it is nothing like the standard of other 4 star hotels that we have been to in Tenerife.
