“Good for retirees”

This is a nice hotel. Well located, good service, reasonably priced. However it is important to note that it caters largely to German retirees, with the occasional British retiree. The entire atmosphere is arranged accordingly. This may not be an entirely fair comment, as it seems that Puerto Cruz itself largely caters to this crowd, with German DJs playing waltzes at some of the restaurants along the promenade. I was there on business so it was fine for me, but as beautiful as Tenerife is, I would find another spot on the island for a holiday. If however you are a retiree, you've hit the jackpot, so go ahead and book now.

The personnel at the reception were very helpful, cordials & provided me with further information concerning other sightseeing tours.

“Not impressed”

Staff in general had an attitude problem. They did not go out of their way to help- casual. Claimed to "know nothing" when asked. Information officer was conspicuous by her absence. Restaurant staff were not happy and did not seem to want to please. As a result we ate out after first night despite"free" meals. Bedroom: bathroom had seen better days. Need re furbishing. Shower needed replacing- doors nearly fell off and shower head was blocked. View was sideways on to sea. No double bed: single beds pushed together. Sheets only changed when requested rather than automatically. Pool hours were not customer friendly. Not open till 9am although breakfast stopped serving at 10 am. Closed again by 6pm- just when we were coming in fdrom a day out sightseeing and wanted a swim. They let others reserve beds with towels- extraordinary- despite signs saying this was not permitted. No advice re car parking and no parking available. In all a disappointment.

“Great location - disappointing inside”

I'm a very regular visitor to Puerto de la Cruz and know the range of hotels on offer very well. I normally rent a flat but, this time, thought a hotel would be nice. I've always thought the Tenerife Playa was one of the best around - but I was disappointed with my stay. The location is fantastic and this is its main draw. The pool areas are very nice too. Breakfast food was fine, but nothing special. But the rooms - at least mine - looked tired and desperately in need of a lick of paint and some new fittings. The walls were grubby, the bathroom tiles chipped and showing signs of damp, and the fittings were showing their age. I was also disappointed to be charged for things I would consider standard services in any hotel, certainly a four star one - for example, the use of a safe in the room, or having a mini fridge in the room. Another word of warnings: my balcony door would not lock when I arrived. It was promptly fixed but the girls cleaning the room insisted upon leaving the door open while I was out. As it was a first floor room easily accessed from the street this was clearly unsafe.

great location on beach and public pool. very relaxing hotel pools and bar. i enjoyed staying here very much.

“Good hotel on seafront”

We loved the hotel as did our two teenage girls (stayed 19th-24th July). Staff were friendly and helpful -kept a cold dinner for us on our late arrival. We stayed half board - good food -disadvantage is that one misses the opportunity to dine out, but can always go out for a drink anyway. A small beach (not crowded) in front of the hotel and a lovely view. Missed coffee and tea facilities in room. Dodgy reviews in the past - but really did not apply to us. One reason why there may be fewer British people may be the flights to North Airport come from the continent. It's on a pedestrianised area - so didn't hire car. Didn't really sample the hotel entertainment (out at night).Nice pools too. Felt best choice for location, and would go back if in Puerto.

“Hotel junto al paseo marítimo y próximo al centro”

El hotel está situado en pleno paseo marítimo y a diez minutos andando del centro. El único inconveniente si se quiere llegar con coche es que está en una zona peatonal, aunque creo que el hotel tiene parking privado. Buen servicio. La habitación también estaba muy bien. Amplia y con buena cama. Calidad media alta en los desayunos. Realmente el hotel me ha sorprendido. Está mejor de lo que esperaba.

L'hotel è molto bello.. Offre moltissime cose da fare.. c'è l'animazione tutte le sere..le piscine sono favolose..e tutto il personale dell'hotel è molto cordiale e gentile..

“nahezu direkt am Strand, schöne Pool-Landschaft gegenüber”

Freundlicher Empfang (Sekt), Zimmer-Service sehr gut, leichte Abnutzungs- ercheinungen. Gäste Altersdurchschnitt 65+/70+ ( zumindest im Winter). Sehr gute Lage: Anfang der Promenade und fast direkt an einem Strand.
