“A great place to stay”
A wonderful hotel in the center of Tallinn very close to the old town. The old town is just a short walk down the road. A modern, clean and well presented hotel with all the modern amenities. The rooftop pool has some brilliant views over the top of the city. Staff were always warm and friendly and offered advice and help when required.
“Great Hotel”
Great location for everything in Tallin and we had a great view from our room on the 8th floor. The breakfast room can get busy if there is a conference going on but we always managed to find a table and they was plent of choice for everyones taste. The leisure facilities were good and the pool, jacuzzi and steam roon were never busy when we went in, very relaxing.
“perfect location”
the Hotel is in the modern part of town so some traffic noise but we live in the country and it didn't bother us (room on the 6th floor), however, two streets away and you are in the old town so perfect location. Rooms are spacious and clean, it appears their way is to make up the rooms at whatever time of the day so if you like it done first thing in the morning, not for yFor us, as long as it was done to a high standard, not a problem. Breakfast excellent, bit chaotic but it is a big hotel and you can't expect cosy, quiet tables. Despite busying themselves, the staff struggle a bit to clear tables but food is plentiful and delicious. Staff at reception is good on the whole but grasp of English is hit and miss. We would recommend Tallin and this hotel to anybody and we got a good deal through Expedia so no complaints, only praise.
“Great location”
Very conveniently located just 1 block away from enchanting Old Town -other, perhaps more luxury, hotels are more distant. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only big problem: I had reserved a non-smoking double, and they didn't have it when I showed up; I was upgraded to a larger room, but...a smoking one, yac!
“Top quality - a gem.”
I must say I find it hard to find any negative points about our stay at this hotel. Our only little problem was that there were tea and coffee faciliteis in our room. We were too busy to eat at the hotel except for breakfast, which had everything one could ask for. Perfect location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Drinks in the bar are very fairly priced too. I would not hesitate to recomend this hotel.
“Tallinn is great, the Forum's okay”
Forum was fine, no better, no worse. It's not in the old town, but about a block away. My room looked out on a large boulevard, better than no view but hardly scenic. The room and the lobby were perfectly nice but without any charm. Breakfast was very good (but I am not a big egg eater and I would have been disappointed if I were).
“Surpassed our expectations”
Spent 2 nights at the Nordic Forum hotel in Tallinn. Location is excellent - just outside of the old town (we reached the old town walls w/in 2 minutes after walking out the front door of the hotel). Pluses: * Clean, modern rooms * Skype phones in the 'Business Class' room we received (on the 8th floor) * Great breakfast buffet Minuses: * HVAC did not work properly in the 1st room we had - it was way too hot. Had to move to a 2nd room, which was fine * One must climb into a tall tub to take a shower. It was a bit of an ordeal even for two 30ish able-bodied individuals.
“Really really nice!”
Lovely hotel in a good location, close to the old part of Tallinn and the ferry terminal to Helsinki. Surrounding neighbourhood somewhat neglected and under construction. The room was very nice, quiet, modern and clean with a wet room. Slightly disconcerting were the semi-transparent glass partitions between the room and the bathroom. Brilliant breakfast buffet and helpful, friendly staff with good command of English. I would go there again.
“well worth staying there value for money”
really enjoyed our stay, old town is beautiful
“Quirky and Comfortable”
I debated for days whether I should stay in the Old Town or the modern part of Tallinn. I decided on this hotel because it was so close to the Old Town and was part of the new town, I wanted to see more than the tourist side of Tallinn. I'm glad I did. For me this location was perfect. Two minute walk to the beautiful Old Town, but still in the action of modern Tallinn and also in front of the gorgeous Rotermann Quarter which houses the fab Loovala artist workshops/shopping store. It's not the most glamorous of hotels, but it's funny and quirky and certainly very comfortable. I had the most beautiful view of the Old Town from my 8th floor room, I kept the curtains open the whole time I was there so I could wake up to that view. Beautiful. I have to say that I did eat downstairs in the bar one night which I usually never do, and it was FANTASTIC, I wasn't expecting such an elegant and delicious meal when I ordered my pickled beetroot and goats cheese salad. Really really good. The wifi was fantastic too, if that's important to you.
