Rude and Unhelpful Staff

Posted 24-Jun-2015
Pros: Close access to I-5.
Cons: The only thing that cannot be improved is the access to I-5.
Location: The hotel is right next to the Port of Tacoma. Semi-trucks were everywhere. Fast food is close by, but no nicer restaurants.
Not impressed with this place. I had a room booked since last August. When I arrived, they told me they did not have a room and if I wanted a room the nightly rate would increase by $25 per night. I had confirmed the reservation and the rate by telephone earlier in the week. The staff was very rude and told me they would not honor the rate I had reserved and confirmed with their employee by phone. I finally was able to negotiate a reduced rate, but still more than the reservation. I needed the room for 5 nights to attend the U.S. Open golf tournament. The second night, our room was not serviced. I went to the cleaning staff area and was able to get more bath towels. The third night our keycards quit working. The fourth night we woke up to a fire alarm. We looked over the breakfast, but chose not to eat there. The hotel is in serious need of new carpets and updated furnishings. I will not return to this hotel.

In need of repairs

Posted 24-Jun-2015
Pros: Close to our event
Cons: See above - just needs upgraded and TLC
The price was right, but cooling unit filter was filthy, replacing carpet in hallways, room was generally clean, just needs upgrades and it appears they are starting on that so in the future this might be a recommend. It was close to where we needed to go so it was convenient.

We expected the rooms to be a little larger. Quite cramped. When I made the room reservations, I did not know much about Fife or the motel, but under new management the remodel was nice. It would be helpful, if a list of restaurants for Fife were available. But, all in all it was o.k. for the price we paid. Thank you

No hot water after about 9:00 a.m. Second building in the back seemingly being used as apartments by truck drivers/movers, a lot of people around and in and out. Room not cleaned one of the days. Had to get clean towels from the front desk every day of our stay. Before 7:00 a.m. fire alarm (which we heard was the 3rd in 2 weeks).

Not a three Star

Posted 21-Jun-2015
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Staff service, plumbing
Location: Ok not a great area. Lots of riff raff hanging around the back of the hotel
Toilet wasn't working when we arrived, our beds never got made, or our towels changed after the first night. Terrible service at the front desk, The staff could barely speak or understand English. Not much for the continental breakfast and the second morning we were awoken by a false fire alarm that they couldn't shut off until the fire department arrived 10 minutes later..

OK hotel for the price

Posted 20-Jun-2015
Pros: Location and price.
Cons: Add an elevator
Worked out fine while attending the US Open. Elevator was a long way from our room. Breakfast was included and OK. Place is a little run down but fine for the price paid. Has recently been taken over and is under new management.

Would never stay again. Poor, Bad & terrible

Posted 18-May-2015
Cons: everthing
The check in staff discriminating attitude to a potential guest was the beginning of a poor experience. A man in construction work clothes asked for a room. He was told there was nothing left. While the cleark was checking us in she was interupted with a phone call asking for a room. Here response was there were only non-smoking rooms. We checked into our room, the room with the broken toilet seat... The same room that the internet didn't work in. We won't mention the falling apart hotel... We went back to the front desk to ask about the internet and were told they were checking into it. At the same time a group who checked in just before us came back to tell the front desk about all of the things that were not working in their room. At the same time the man in construction work clothes who was told in person that that there was no room was back to check into his non-smoking only room. I guess he was the person who called in as we were checking in. We never did get internet and knew there was no point in mentioning the broken toilet seat.
