At the heart of historical Sydney

My wife and I booked this hotel due to its location. We were not disappointed with the location being right in the centre of historical Sydney. The staff are very helpful, unpretentious and frankly just good people. The rooms are well situated and clean with what you need.

Nice hotel at convenient location

Friendly staff. Fantastic location. Good first impression of the decor overall of the hotel and room except the bathroom. The bathroom was adequate, but found the stained grout in the floor of the white tile shower not very appealing.

Great location, beautiful hotel no WIFI

Cons: Make the WIFI work
Location: Close to Circular Quay, The Rocks, great restaurants and local shopping.
The hotel is beautiful and the location is right next to The Rocks - so great for dining out and close to Waterfront - with fab views of the Opera House. The hotel had come highly recommended by several people and as I visit Australia every year for business reasons, I decided I should try it. If I was staying in Australia for a holiday I would definitely choose this hotel. But as I was here on business the lack of WIFI was a real problem. I stayed for 10 days and the WIFI in my room did not work once. It worked outside my bedroom door, but not inside! I did complain and was told that as the router was literally ‘outside’ my room they couldn't get me closer to the router so it wouldn't help to move me to a different room. The reception staff tried to reset the WIFI but nothing worked. I ended up racking up a mobile phone bill of over £1000 just to download my emails every day. Needless to say, next year I will stay at one of the faceless corporate hotels which allows me to keep in touch with the UK office without the huge costs!

Good position

Location: The Rocks, need more be said
Coffee and tea making facilities located in the wardrobe!! Silly shelf above the vanity basin in the bathroom made it difficult to use. Wardrobe and bathroom doors clashed. Design won over functionality too little shelf and draw space and poor use of floor space. Lovely hotel let down by poor room design and selection of furniture

Great location!

We loved the Harbour Rocks-the location could not be beat as we were about a 2 minute walk to circular quay and to the harbour bridge. The area is full of great cafes, restaurants and lots of live music. The staff at the Harbour rocks was so friendly and helpful. We especially enjoyed Paul, who works at the front desk/bar and was an absolute pleasure. Our first evening we were too jet-lagged to go far and ate dinner at the bar, which was delicious as well. Overall, cannot recommend this boutique hotel enough!

Perfect for exploring the Rocks, staff awesome

We stayed just for a couple of nights but were very impressed with this hotel. The location was perfect for exploring the rocks. Modern and attractive decor, showers were amazing. The staff were incredible, very helpful and accommodating. Huge difference in customer service between staying here at this boutique hotel vs a large hotel - felt really looked after :-)
