"It was a really good trip to the yha in Swanage as it was really clean and the bed was comfy and the bedding was cosy and comfortable and the price was very reasonable I didn’t use the lounge or bar so can’t comment about those things or the kitchen overall it was a good experience "

"The hostel is very close (a few minutes on foot) to the beach and to the town centre (important: for the town centre go the opposite way from the way to the beach:) You will get there in a few minutes on foot rather than half an hour or so going in a long circle - as I did with my kids! - the other way). "Although this is a hotel, its more of a restaurant with rooms now. So it was quite noisy and busy in the evenings, with live music on one evening. However the music/bar closes promptly at a reasonable hour so not a huge problem. The staff are lovely and the restaurant food was fabulous. So much so that we ate far too much...It sits on the cliff top and we were able to hear the waves crashing overnight to lull us too sleep, not our first stay and wont be the last. "

"Another excellent relaxing short stay at the Orchid Hotel We have stayed here last year and will definitely stay again this year The staff are all polite friendly and professional. Tom on the bar and restaurant was very attentive and a joy to speak with as was Joana on reception, The hotel is in a residential area and this makes for a relaxing stay.The food in the restaurant was excellent beautifully presented and delicious. Complements to the chef. "
